Let's be real here, okay? Let's be real.

lol at using stats during 1 season to determine who the better set of receivers are

you do realize your offense is alot more pass friendly and we have Jefferson and Lee contributing to those stats right?

If LSU's recievers had a QB like Mallet and the same play calling, their stats are much better. Just my opinion. Id be willing to bet that Ark has run way more offensive plays than LSU this year as well.

Yeah, let's just act like a completely ignorant fan of CFB and not lend any credence to the idea that LSU's WR's numbers might be down due to the offensive woes that've plagued us all year and that ARK's WR's might be better b/c they're in a pass-happy offense with a pass-happy coach.

Tell you what, champ. When every single one of LSU's WR's have graduated and every single one of ARK'S WR's have graduated, let's see who (and how many) (and where) they went in the NFL draft. Okay?

Well instead of using subjective arguments that cannot be proven, I went the stat route because they cannot be debated. What is done is done.

Production is production. Our WRs average more ypc, score more Touchdowns.

Once again, name a WR corp in the SEC better than Arkansas

I don't think Arkansas has nearly the same threat on the ground,

That's true. I'm betting though that Dennis Johnson has a big day against us. I hope not, but ... well, he's just the type to gash us.

The real question would be to ask Petrino if he'd rather Arky's current WRs or LSU's? In a private setting, I think I know how he'd answer that. And the NFL scouts will back that up.

I will go with LSU WR's NFL earning power as to which team has the more talented corp. Do you want to debate who has more skill, or better stats? Two different deals.

"I think we will blow out ark

No running game and our secondary can easily handle mallet and thier avg WRs"

Spoken like someone who doesn't have a clue what in the hell they are talking about!

Ryan Mallett hadn't played a live game in over a year and had to adjust to the speed of the SEC.
Ryan is now fully adjusted and is very good at reading defenses and will audible if he sees the blitz coming and his receivers have been taught by some of the best offensive minds in college football.

I know Les Miles pulled a couple of brain farts against Old Myth, but if he's nearly as stupid as you appear to be by your own words and deems our receivers as "average" we'll embarrass your Tigers on their own football field.

Unfortunately for Arkansas I imagine that LSU's coaching staff has a little more going for them between their ears than you apparently do........

Once again, you are using things that cannot be proven to back your argument. Subjective means nothing. Everyone has an opinion on things. Production cannot be debated.

When taken out-of-context? Sure. You must've either misread my earlier post or just skipped it entirely.

so I guess we can really decide this in a couple years when LSU has their 3 receivers playing in the NFL and Arky has Childs and then a couple busts

Sure it can. It's called the NFL draft.

Arkansas Pass attempts: 364
LSU pass attempts: 287

I'd say that has something to do with the inflated stats. The other thing would be that our offensive game plans have been shite.

It's not our receivers fault that the offense has 4-5 3 and outs a game and they don't get the ball enough.
