Saban has already driven up the cost of trim in Tuscalooser.

Let's see in two more years what his record is.

Right, because given time, the talent and discipline on his team might regress.

Is it possible that Coach Saban benefited from coaching in the NFL? I know he wasn't successful but some people on here seem to think he's the same coach that will ALWAYS lose a game he's not suppose to (yes he lost to ULM last year but he hasn't lost one he's not suppose to yet this year). His X's and O's have improved from the time he was at LSU IMO. I think he's gotten better on the defensive side of the ball and other parts of coaching due to large parts of being in the NFL and his friend/mentor, Belichik.

The SEC as a whole this year is down but we've far exceeded EVERYONE's expectations! I don't think LSU is going anywhere. Y'all will always be a force in the west and so will we as long as Saban is here.

Bama will not fall off the face of the earth if he leaves either. I expect Bama to be in the driver's seat in the WEST for a very, very long time.

Bama is where they at b/c coach Saban plays smart fundemental football and has a very favorable schedule. They have taken care of buisness like it or not and reaping the rewards for hard work.
On the other hand I love our team, regardless of the QB situation, Lee will grow from this and we will benefit next year.

take away 4 INT's and we win by 14! Just sayin

Very true, yet LSU in winning two BCS crowns over the last five years, nor Fla in winning two NCAA crowns over the last 11 years, both of them in all four of those title years, had a loss..

Meanwhile, lucky schedule of teams weaker than expected or not, Bama is on pace for an unbeaten 12-0 season heading into Atlanta, something Bama has done many times in their history, and LSU almost never does, and in year #2 under Saban with a decent not exceptionally talented team..

The proof is in the pudding, even in Bama's 7-6 '07 campaign they lost all six games by a TD or less, and as Eli Gold Gold & Snake Stabler said last year after the LSU-Bama game, "Saban's got them way ahead of schedule!"

I must agree.
