Sure most people who were going off anything more than wishful thinking expected that almost every player would at least enter the transfer portal to keep their options open.
The main reason people were pleased with the hire is that McMahon seems one of the better options of mid-major coaches and one that did have some other suitors.
Many feared Woodward would be forced to hire a placeholder until NCAA sanctions were clear.

Having spent most of the decade prior to Wade’s arrival not making the tournament and usually never even having a shot at, I can honestly say that
Makes the season much more enjoyable. At least these teams were in the dance.

The way the LSU Admin treated the players was appalling. Not only did Scott/Prez not care about Wade, they didn’t care about his players.
