I don't quite belive this especially after Ed said that the door wasn't closed on him returning.
To me if he was dismissed or forced to leave that answer would not have come out his mouth, he would have danced around the question

Not interesting. Media training teaches you to speak in passive voice rather than active voice to leave things ambiguous for just these Situations. Did he leave the team because he was told to, or because he wanted to. It can mean anything you want.
