Never ceases to amaze me how many clowns "love" football, but don't give a flying frick about football players
I find it interesting that this amazes you. I love movies, but I don’t particularly care about the actors in them - or the lighting technician, for that matter. I like fine dining, but I hardly think about the cooks and delivery folks that make it happen. I like tigerdroppings but....

So, other humans exist primarily to serve and amuse you? Wow.

People are jumping your arse about this and I'm kind of surprised about it, really.
Louisiana is one of, if not the worst in the nation in healthcare. And I'm not talkin about the patients. It's a pretty widely accepted truth. This is anecdotal but my wife has a shitload of clients and all the rich ones go out of state for health care. Mostly to Houston.
Look at the constant injuries and misdiagnoses that occur with the Saints and LSU.
In general, people here are just terrible at their jobs. That cultural trait doesn't just disappear once you get your doctorate.
There's only a few trades that Louisianians are above average or excellent in when compared to the rest of the United States. Politicking, lawyering, bartending, cooking, fishing and tour guiding.
Ignorant post is ignorant.

Take all the athletes and divide by actual cases.
Again if it was widespread we would hear more about it.

Not necessarily. It took more than 100 years for the concussion issue to get much national press.

I figured everyone would know honestly, which is why I didn't post the name. Just trying to be respectful of the guy.
You said he posted on FB so its not like he was trying to remain anonymous.

The issue of team doctors giving a medical green light to players who may need surgery is not limited to LSU. This problem is nationwide.

Then don't play football. Always baffles me when players complain about something they are not forced to do.
Come on. If it is true that he was misdiagnosed, he has a legit complaint.
No one is forcing to work were you work, so if you get injured on the job you will just say "frick it, my bad"??

Dr.James Andrews of LA.
"Practicing in Alabama".
Thanks for proving my point. All the best ones leave the State.

How much as LSU earned while he played there.
How much would they have earned during the same time period this kid played, if he had never come to LSU at all?

Most notable thing there in my opinion is the Rant was trying to get every coach fired even back in 2010

Oh, so now players complain because they played too much? At least he has that free education and degree to fall back on.
Have never understood the "free education" thing. My college education was mostly free, all I had to do was go to class and make the grades. A football scholarship means a large amount of your time is dedicated to things like practice on the field, weight training, physical conditioning, physical therapy, team meetings, game days, travel time for away games, and the risk of injury that can leave you with physical problems the rest of your life. In my world that is called being given a job in exchange for your education expenses, there is nothing free about it.

A) no one forced him to play
He is just a kid, its called peer pressure, in some military training the instructors have to closely monitor their trainees, some will actually push themselves to the point they risk serious injury or death before they would quit.
quote:
B) he would not have been cleared unless there was no structural damage to the knee
A large part of being cleared from a injury by a physician is asking the patient how does it fell to them, see peer pressure above.
quote:
C) whining on Facebook about a school who gave you so much is a real dick move
He was given nothing, he earned it with his time, sweat, just like every other player.

I guess the same reason I started 53 straight games at LSU but didn’t pass one physical at the combine? Interesting right? LSU?
Can you believe LSU would force this guy to start 53 games against his will? WTH is going on.

It’s so funny how shite like this is said all the time (generally by older individuals) yet none of them take a step back and really think about the fact that IT’S ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAY!
If you say so, must be true

I don't care for the victim thing,But some alumni should surely be opening some career doors.I know a Bama player with a jacked up knee, and he has a really good job.Hopefully he gets some opportunities, and takes advantage of them.
