I wonder if Miles was at the same games I was? I've heard the same speel for a while now. Really hope what he said is true but not betting on it.
What did Miles actually say that wasn't true?
quote:
"I think Brandon Harris will compete for the job and I'm not discounting Anthony Jennings. I'm not going to do it. Brandon Harris is faster, throws the ball harder and really runs hard. He has some fundamental things to improve on and he's ready to do so."
He didn't say the BH would start or is the man to beat. He only said BH is ready to improve on some fundamental things. It's up to BH now.

Ok. I still believe LSU losses to AU no matter the QB... But I would have waited until the UK game at home.... But again Why is Miles listening to the fans on who to start at QB???????

so now if he does something the fanbase agrees with its "WHY IS MILES LISTENING TO THE FANS?!?!?!"

Now who is speaking in absolutes. Not everyone was calling for Harris to start at auburn. The dumasses were. Only a fool would think Harris would thrive in a situation like that. So just what the hell was miles thinking?????

A lot of folks felt he would be better coming off the bench. There was a big discussion about this before that game.

Off the bench would def have been a better option....hindsight is a wonderful thing.

There was a big discussion about it before the game. Worst fears came true, but yeah..it's hard to know until that time.

They never learn. Miles is just playing them. Miles hardly ever knows what he will do till the time comes, but he knows to feed to trolls.

quote:Which is why, once it was apparent that AJ was NEVER going to be the answer, we should've just taken our lumps with Harris and got his development going. I mean hell, we lost 5. Yes, one can argue that playing AJ as long as we had an outside shot at the SEC west was the right thing to do. I'll buy that for a minute.
Brandon Harris is faster, throws the ball harder and really runs hard.
But, once that was out of the question, we should've just let it fly with BH. Especially in the Arky game and the bowl. Not planning to play BH in the bowl when BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, he wants Harris to compete for the starting job in 2015 was just QB management incompetence. You have a month to prep him and the game was totally meaningless. AND, as we saw, even after that month, he had ZERO confidence in AJ.
If you go into that bowl game with no confidence in your FULL YEAR starter, you give the other guy another look for frick's sake.

Deceptively honest? Miles is a liar IMO. Miles is done. His desperate attempt with coach O to overshadow his pathetic results in replacing Chavis should prove he is done. Miles is in auto pilot knowing LSU cannot afford his buyout, and his decisions indicate to me he simply is laughing at the stupidity of JA. As for QB comparisons- anyone that uses the Auburn game to justify him not playing, is as much of a football moron as Miles is. Jennings could not start for any of the other 13 teams in the SEC. Outside of Vandy I doubt he could make a scout squad. He would make Marcus Randall look like a HT candidate.

While I understand this sentimentality, and slightly agree, can you imagine the meltdown the Rantards would have when LSU would have gone 6-7 or worse.
BH could EASILY have lost a couple more games considering he was still calling plays from his High Schools playbook when he was in.
