Its not dumb. The coaches and players have no control over making the bcscg. Also whether you like it or not the bcscg is not a sanctioned NCAA cchampionship. Its an exhibition just like any other bowl game.

Like it or not, people do care about the BCSNC and thats the only way we have had to crown a champion recently. Who cares if the NCAA sanctioned it or not

Because that's what lsu plays. Ncaa fbs football. The bcscg is a bowl game. In 10 years the way we crowned champions by voting them in will be laughed at. Give me an sec title over a bcs title any day. The sec champ is never questioned. After every single bcscg the analyst debate whether the two correct teams were chosen. Its literally never happened in the seccg. Its also harder to win the sec. You cant finish second in the sec west and win the sec. You also don't get VOTED into the seccg.
