quote:Very happy this is the case.
I think it's unlikely he leaves.
quote:No doubt. AND... give him more responsibility, e.g. involve him in hiring assistants. I think we're [still] under-utilizing him.
But, LSU needs to give him a raise and keep him.
quote:Yep. Not only a mistake for him to go, but if someone in-conference takes the model we're intending and improves on it it will hurt us.
The dude is 31 years old. That is young talent you need to keep in house.
And let's not forget, he was either involved or the primary recruiter in getting our only 5* last year (Stevens) and a big flip (Phillips). In other words, there's a recent, positive, track record that can't be ignored as far as recruiting.
ETA: I wouldn't be at all suprised if Arky tries the "GM Model" with Gus and Tim Horton as their A. Thomas.... if they can convince Gus. Barring that, I wouldn't rule out them going directly for Austin themselves to install the model. Lot's of moving pieces there, but the timing/situation seems to suit such a move. I'd be pissed as hell if Arky were to purchase AT away from us.
