Orgeron & E took the time to dig deep on Burrow's stats, film, references, etc. Respect!

Don't get carried away. Orgeron and E were desperate for a qb transfer because it was obvious the two we had competing for the job in spring 2018 were not good enough at that time to get us over the hump. McMillan is doing fine at Tulane, and Brennan may be ready next season, but neither of them would have won at Auburn or perhaps the home game vs UGA last season.

What schools were really threats for him?

Honestly it blows my mind that none of the old Urban OCs went for him. He would have been an instant fit at Florida and Texas.

Do you know what schools were really in contention? I feel like LSU's reputation as a school thats always a QB away had to have helped us.

Incorrect. Maybe a top flight recruit would have decommitted. These decisions are complicated, and there is no rule of thumb that can be blindly applied.

Mullen is anything but a maroon. takes a special idiot to imply Mullen is lacking football intelligence. He just embarrassed our d in baton rouge with a backup qb with no real college experience. Florida wasn't and still isn't lacking qb talent. Mullen didn't need Burrow nearly as much as we did.

I lost respect for him after his press conference crying about all the injuries. Sore losing pussy

Said something like "It's pretty tough to win when you don't have either of your starting defensive ends"

And Zuniga didn't go out until 4 minutes left in the 3rd and our offense was more efficient BEFORE he went out.

Yep. That and his statement that the game didn’t mean anything to his team. It sure as hell meant a lot when they beat us last year in Gainesville. I know that he meant they can still win the SEC, but come on.

If it wasn't Burrow it was going to be someone else. We needed a QB in the worst way. It turns out Burrow wanted out of Ohio St in the worst way.
