After his freshmen year I figured he would be a stud. Wonder what happened.

We should learn a lot about Bennie Logan this year. He looked really good last year, but how much of that is a benefit from playing next to a stud like Brockers? It's a question you have to ask.

What's interesting is I felt that Brockers got the benefit from Logan as much as Bennie did he. Logan is such a monster against the run, he was constantly double-teamed thus freeing up Brockers. I expect Logan to again quietly put together an outstanding season.

So much talent on the D-Line, just imagine if Brockers would have stayed this year.

It would have been more badass than this...

sounds like Ego is ahead of Johnson in the rotation

Ego probably starts because of experience and age but Johnson will share that position.

We have to remember that Ego had to make a change from playing defensive end to go inside to tackle. Making an adjustment like that isn't easy, let alone in the SEC. So i think the adjustment and a little maturing took a little time and now we are finally seeing his true potential on display. With Ego and Freak in the middle we will have a bright future in the SEC.

I'm not saying i don't believe Ego is playing much better but i'd like to see a practice video or two of ego playing his arse off to make sure. Just seemed like he was lax at times.

Now the guy does have a mean streak. If he ignites like that all the time, watch out.

I think the competition between Ego and Johnson will make both better. Logan has the other DT position all locked up.

Mingo and Montgomery may be the two fastest Defensive ends we have ever had on the field at the same time
