It's weeks like this past one that make me hate so many LSU "fans".
I was hoping 08/09 would have chased a couple of the morons away... It didn't happen. What we have now are bandwagoners who have 5 years of experience. frick

I guess some forget JJ got sacked as many times as Mett. Although many of them weren't listed as sacks because he made it beyond the line of scrimmage trying to scramble away, but the yardage gains were minimal.

Even without a mobile QB, we are averaging 430 yards pg, which is something we haven't done since 2007.

To clarify, this is just my opinion and not fact or stat based. I am all for Mett being successful and I think he will be. I dont mind giving up the qb as a running threat if he can burn you with his arm. I think Mett can do that without question, given time. I just noticed a few plays that were often successful for us when we had a mobile qb that I have not seen this year. Mostly short yardage and redzone chances.

I am personally missing JJ and that look on his face (like someone pissed in his cheerios) every single time he f%$*ed up. Those were great. I also miss not having the option to throw when Bama put 8 guys in the box and skull f^%!ed us.
Ahh........The good old Days!

If it weren't for JJ and his mobility, no way we walk out of Alabama with a win last year on 11/5.

He gets hated on way too much, in my opinion.

Yea and if it wernt for JJ and his uncany ability to look like a deer on a foggy night with the headlights headed straight for him, we may have had a chance in the NC game...

I never said I missed JJ. Im so glad he is gone. I said I was watching highlights that he was in and I missed having a mobile qb. I would not make it through another season of JJ. I wish Mett had his wheels.

Also, Im not saying that we need Jennings to come in and save LSU football. I just think he will be good enough to give us the option of running or throwing the ball effectively.

Some of you really need to read shite before you start spewing garbage. This is really more about the playbook options and not so much the current qb situation.

Just to be clear, after the miserable years of "you know who", some of us..........just aren't!

We did pretty well with Jamarcus Russell being just a pocket qb, wouldn't you agree?

Mett is in the same mold as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, etc. He just needs to learn to get rid of the ball when the play isn't there.

Also enjoyed the dual threat of Matt Flynn.

I definitely loved Matt Flynn as well, but to back Mett a little bit here, JR had some great games not being a mobile QB, all I'm saying...
