I don't consider myself an oldtimer but I'm not a newcommer either. My very first game was in 1988 vs Miami. We got destroyed, it started pooring down raining and the Miami fans went nuts. There were beach balls and oranges all over the stadium. For most people it would have put them off, but from that moment on I was in love with my Bayou Bengals. I became a fan during those bad years and to see where we are now, it kills me when the bandwagon fans / haters open their mouths and have no idea what they are talking about. That's why I started this thread. We need to rally support for Coach Miles and his staff and show him the love.

You're just wasting your time there my man. When the tards start off their converstion with "Miles calls the plays" or "Miles runs the offense" they have already identified themselves as football illiterates and not likely to change.

They are part of the tl/dr crowd and will never learn anything else since they refuse to read anything longer than one paragraph. I guess they were just BORN knowing everything already....cuz that seems to be the only explanation as to how they gained any of their information.

I have spent a lot of posts tilting at the same windmills that you have, also with no effect. Those types of fan have never been around a coaching staff or have any idea how game plans and schemes are decided upon and implemented. They hear a few talking heads spouting nonsense and just parrot away embarrassing themselves in the process.

I personally think the LSU offense is going to be much improved this year. Cam will be a big part of that, but he will get way too much credit from the idiot fans out there, who will discount any other reason for the offense being better, especially if any of those reasons can be attributed to CLM!

You must be one of the Tards previously spoken of. There haven't been any clock management issues in quite some time. But you haters are going to hang your hat on that for the next decade. CLM has made mistakes in the past and learned from them, that's what makes him such a great coach. I never said he called every single play you moron. Maybe you need to read what the hell I wrote. I said the plays are called, he listens to them on his headset and makes the changes he wants on the field. He also has a lot to do with the set up of the plays. He wants a run on 1st, the OC calls a run. He wants a run on 3and15, the OC calls a run. If you don't think he changes play calls then you are crazy. You really think that the numbers I showed you erlier where a result of the coordinators and not his philosophy. He does not give his OFFENSIVE Coordinator full control during a game on play calling. His philosophy has been all over this teams offense the past 5 years and the offensive nubers have SUKCED because of it.

I am pretty sure I know how game planning works. The problem is, the way this offense has game planned the past few years as been Horrific. It has been Mile's game plan, not the coordinators. Its his way on offense, proven when BAMA made us look like a complete joke in the national championship. By saying that the game planning is between the coaches he hires and himself then you are proving my point that he sucks for hiring offensive personnel and his HEAD COACHING on the offensive side has been a JOKE. Either way, he is responsible for the play on the field. The offenses crappy numbers are his fault in the end.

Also, MIles was an offensive Linemen. How many high draft picks from the Oline have come out of LSU since he has been here. He was a Tight End coach in the NFL. How come our Tight Ends are pretty much non-existant in the pass game the past few years. How many of the QB's that he has recruited are playing in the NFL? Miles needs to realize he is a Great HEAD COACH, Motivator, Recruiter and CEO, he is not a good positions coach or coordinator. He needs to hire the best people he can and let them do what they were hired for.

Well excuse me for having an opinion,but it's typical..if you don't happen to agree with those who are supposedly "in the know" you're an idiot or whatever...all I said was my opinion,just like everyone on this board...absolutely no reason at all we should have lost to Clemson last season,all the offense had to do was help out the the defense and the game was ours...but when the D is on the field for twice the amount of plays as the O,then your chances of winning are not good..but then again I don't know what I'm talking about right? The most outlandish thing? WOW!

Wow! I need to become friends with you. I didn't know you got field passes and were able to stand next to CLM during the games! What's that like? It must be awesome! Here I am thinking that when Gary Crowton was his OC he brought the same shitty style of football with him to LSU that he's used in the past. Like running a draw play on 3rd and 15, or screen passes against SEC speed defenses. And I could have sworn that, that was the reason he was fired because his style of football didn't work in the SEC. So I take everything back that I said before. You obviously know what you're talking about. Please tell Coach Miles, or I'm sure you call him Les, which ever, Please tell him I said hi when you're standing next to him in the game tomorrow.
