re: I'm sick and tired of "fans" hating on Les Miles!

No one here hates Les Miles. No one here wants Les to fail. However - Les has some game day issues some of you have elected to ignore. Clock issues, personnel decisions, game play calling, calling out high school players and the list goes on. The one game that will haunt Miles for the rest of his life was the NC game against Alabama. Why wouldn't the head coach give his own team a chance to win? The coaching of this game defies logic. What good does it do if you have the best recruiting class in the country and you flame out on college footballs greatest stage? Les is a great recruiter but he cannot coach. Chavis has bailed him out on defense. Now he needs Cam to take up the slack on offense. That said I want Les to succeed.

Clock issues - addressed, had none last year.
Personel decisions - addressed, New OC
Game play calling - that's the OC's and DC's job.
Calling out high school players - ?

Miles will always be in a tough spot at LSU following Saban. I'm not sure fans are hating Miles as much as they are frustrated at times with aspects of his coaching.

Game play calling the OC???????? What a joke. You really think he has no say so in the play calling?? Since Miles stepped in the offense has been ranked in the bottom of the SEC and NCAA. Hell, the 2011 season the offense wasn't ranked in the top 50. After Fisher left and Crowton lost his mind, Miles has taken control of this teams offense. 2007 were ranked in the top 10, since he left consistently below 50. If you cant see that you are blind. The only thing saving this team this past few years has been defense, and thank god he has learned to leave that alone 90% of the time.

So I guess Gay Crowton had no sayso in the play calling. Why the hell does he have an OC then? If Miles calls the plays, what the hell does the OC do? I guess just sit on his arse and collect a check. And if Miles is calling the Offense and responsible for their performance, by the same logic you should say that he calls the plays on defense too and needs to get credit for their performance too. It's asshats like you that don't know shite that piss me off. The OC calls the plays on offense, the DC calls the plays on defense. The head coach manages the entire team. Yes some head coaches call the offensive plays, but those coache don't have OC's. Jackass

You really don't have a clue. The OC calls the plays from the booth, Miles listens to them on his little headset and then changes them when he doesn't like them. Why do you think they use to have so many play clock issues, he was over riding the plays from the booth.

Get a clue man. Saban has had defensive coordinators, you really think he doesn't call defensive plays? Steve Spurrier has an offensive coordinator. Just because a team has an OC or DC, doesn't mean his way is 100%.

I'm trying to remember the last time that I saw Miles with a playsheet in front of him.....O wait, NEVER!!!! From time to time yes the coach may say hey let's try this play or that one, but the OC calls the plays. As for the time management issues that they had 3 seasons ago not last year, maybe just maybe he could have been letting time wind down, deciding to go on 4th or not, or I don't know, TRYING TO GET THE RIGHT PERSONEL INTO THE GAME!!! Your the one who needs to get a clue. Why don't you go jump on that Saban bandwagon and start waving your bama flag around since you love him so much. I bet you were calling for his job when he was 8-5 too.

What more do you want?
If the other guys can do it, why can't we? There are negligible differences in the physical talent level of the two programs.

Quick, take Saban's saban out of your mouth for a second and tell me other than what Bama has done who has accomplished more than Miles since 2005 in CFB? Anyone?
Maybe Urban if you want to count just the chain gang years but over the course of the last decade LSU has been GREAT, ELITE.
Saban is the only coach in the country with better credentials so what you are really saying is that if Les Miles can't be the very very best, every stinking year then he sucks and we don't want him...
Here's a clue, Saban aint coming back through that door, no matter how many demented 'tiger fans' have his saban in their mouth.

There is a certain group of LSU fans that will never accept Miles. No matter what he does. Just like last year. Miles haters bitched and called him stupid for running the ball against Bama when we were trying to ice the game. They also bitched when Miles/ OC called a perfect pass play against Clemson and caught Clemson with their pants down( Mett threw a 3-4 yard out route in the dirt, trying to ice the game

ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE SEC.
Wow you're dumb. Saban is considered the best coach in all of CFB and with the most talent( #1 in recruiting 4/5 years) and he still loses a game every year , except once. You then bash Miles for losing games.
If miles has let you down then you have set your standards too high. Since Miles' hire no SEC team has a better record than LSU, no other team has more west titles than LSU. Blast Miles all you want but facts are facts. Right now Les Miles is #2 in sec win % in the ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE SEC. Higher than Saban, spurrier and othe decent coach

Each year though he has pissed me off and I don't have expectations for the guy to suddenly "get it". You can jerk off to 10 win seasons all you want. But for the talent we have and to lose games the way we do, it's a let down. Why settle for good when you can be great? Not every team has the opportunity to be great. We have the potential and Les chooses an abortion. Have the baby Les.
