or we can just wait 7 more years and see how truly good he is. are you old enough to know that LSU has been playing football for over 100 yrs just like most other colleges. do you not think 7 yrs is enough data to see how truly good he is?

Maybe i'm crazy, ignorant, or not surfing the Tiger Rant enough but, imo, the distaste for Les Miles despite the debacle with the offense in the NCG is either low or negligible. In any case, considering that he's won 10+ games in 5/7 seasons, 11 in both of the past two seasons and is coming off of his BEST season as LSU's head coach and probably one of the top 5 seasons in LSU Football history, I don't see where in the hell you are coming from, "tyrone_det".

You're saying if he wins he is going to walk away from being in the top 3 highest paid college coaches at $5-6mil per year. You sir are a damn fool

I don't think we win the NC this year, although we will make another great run at it. We won't win it because of some random, maddening coaching snafu at some as yet to be played game, I don't know which. But it will happen. And even so, I don't think *CLM will retire, and I don't think he'll be forced out after yet another 10+ win season. And yes, when he leaves we will realize he was still a pretty damm strong coach, in spite of his snafus and all that. But I'm glad JJ ain't coming back.

And I hope I am DEAD WRONG on my prediction and that LSU does win the NC this year.

If Jordan Jefferson had one more year of eligibility and was going to start this coming year, it would have been Les Miles' last year in 2012. When he does leave and is replaced, you'll see how truly good a coach he is.

Best thread yet Tyrone

I think Coach Miles will coach as long as he is able, health wise. I dont agree with all he does, but he is by far one of the best coaches we have ever had at LSU.
