We are going to Jarrett Lee this kid behind this horrible O-line.

If anything , At least give him the troy start and see if we can get a spark. O line will gel.

We always want to believe a single change will fix everything but it seldom works out that way. This year especially. We have too many problems everywhere. I think we are doing the right thing. Actually, it is refreshing to see how Myles is being handled. It shows somebody is thinking ahead without being reckless about it.

I like Brennan but with this O line he will be killed in two weeks. It could be really bad and completely destroy him mentally.

Couldn't be much worse than the FSU QB.

Cycle of life brah. You don't do your job, you get replaced. It's quite simple.

At this point, and with this OL, we are going to lose 4 to 5 games anyway. Brennan has a quicker release which might help a little and can build some valuable playing time for the future. Why not? This season is done anyway barring a miracle.

Starting Brennan could lead to the same problem that J. Lee had.

Why does starting a freshman always lead to what Jarrett did and not something like say, Sam Darnold?

Might as well develop the guy instead of the fifth year senior that gets no better.

Or don't throw the kid into a dumpster fire and ruin him before he can develop.

Not the same...if you get out by a better player that's fine by me. The example the OP is talking about is starting Brennan and benching Etling solely because we have nothing left to play for, not because hes better.

We cant use the "he'll get snapped in half" excuse anymore
This board went nuts when Russell Shepard got tackled hard and almost got 'snapped in half', and said he shouldn't be playing. RS now plays in the NFL for the Panthers.

Etling is the starter, but give reps to Brennan.

The problems on offense is that Canada's scheme is soft and sucks. Steve E. had the formula last year. Etling is fine.

I haven't seen a SPam Darnold in an LSU uniform

I don't know why some of you don't get it. Brennan isn't ready for the starting job. Give him a few series until he is. Brennan is very talented but not all that confident.

Man this thread. This post. Both are are examples of whats wrong with this program. No reasoning. No strategy. Just emotion. You'll probably get your wish. After a few arse kickings and another QB is ruined, then what...

Forcing Brennan in the game (which I agree with) almost cost us the game. I think we are bringing him along perfectly

No. I'm not fricking ready to throw this season away just yet. Dammit, we are 3-1 and have all but 1 of our sec games to play. This season isn't over you buncha pussies. This team can improve and I'm betting they will. I've seen it happen before. So shut up with this bullshite. That will do nothing but cause team dissention anyway. Etling should start because he performed better on saturday, that's it. You idiots throwing in the towel already prob have never played a sport in your life, much less football, and if you did, your team fricking sucked. Shut up and lets focus on troy and getting better.

#1 reason and the only one you need. Les was fired for not being able to beat bama. When is the last time bama lost to a game manager(qb on etlings level)? Can't recall any in last 8 years. Starting Etling is conceding defeat. Heck starting Etling against bama is conceding a 30+ point loss. He will look like Jefferson did in the title game.

According to our HC we can't run 4 wide from shotgun. Well I don't know what he's seeing but I saw pretty efficient play when they went 3-4 wide sat night.

How can you make this statement about Etling performing better when Brennan hasn't played a meaningful amount of snaps yet.
