Is Harry Bissett's as good as some UGA fans claim?
I am flying in tomorrow and contemplating having dinner there.
What is the wait time like? I presume hours.
I have only been there once or twice. It was fine. Nothing really to write home about.
An LSU fan going to Athens for New Orleas style food is pretty weird.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn. I have no idea where that is.
If it is the Holiday Inn on Broad St., it is direstly adjacent to both campus and downtown. You will be able to stumble back.

LOL. True, but I live in Chicago, so I rarely get to experience that type of cuisine.

Right on. Give it a try. It is pretty good.

If it's the Holiday Inn on Broad. Exit the hotel onto Broadstreet..walk to the right about 3 blocks, follow the noise and the women. Your hotel, if it is that one, is right in downtown. Won't need a car for anything.

Try to find some players and coaches, like go scope out the team hotel and report back to us and let us know if they look focused, uptight or loose, etc.
Don't do this, unless you're a total creep.

During the Fan Fest at the 2003 SECCG, 2 georgia fans were behind me at the field goal kicking contraption right next to the band pep rally area.
When the Golden Band struck up Hold that Tiger one Georgia fan said to the other, "We are going to lose."

I want to teach at lsu... All my professors said that if I get my PhD at UGA I will have a very high chance of getting hired at LSU... So not really.
Good luck, I am in the same boat. I am in my 2nd year in Management -- stop by 419 Brooks Friday morning if you get a minute. It'd be nice to have another Tiger fan in the business school!

It is a great town. The bars are all fun and there were a ton of LSU people there last night.

Greece? You can feel it from there? really wow...the Power of Tiger Nation

Reading the Georgia blogs many of their fans are worried about this game, just as we were last season when they came here. The teams look fairly equal across the board, struggling and excelling in some of the same areas. However, the one huge disparity appears to be the secondaries. Apples to oranges there. Lafell and company should have a field day if Les will release the hounds. Should be the difference along with beating them at the turnover game.

Harry Bissett's is modeled after Galatories on Borbon street.
My favorite in Athens. Galatories was my favorite in Newallns.
Probably pretty croweded.

I didn't have a good time last time I was in Athens. Then again, it was Curley Hallman's first game. I will never forget looking through my binocs and seeing the dumbfounded look on that bastard's face.
The other thing I remember was the local police harassing the LSU fans, then arresting them for disturbing the peace when they got pissed at them.
