Then that's more something that you're saying based on past arguments you've had than your actual opinion?
The circumstances matter. I really don't see how you can say otherwise.
Going back to the comparison with Nebraska -- I think it would've been beneficial for NU to stay with some of the things on Offense that worked well in previous years with their Option-based system as they changed to a West Coast O with Bill Callahan.
Miles has taken a lot of criticism over the years about the Offense, but I've always said I like the basics, so I think the O should stick to doing the things that have worked well, and with the timing of the firing, that will be a practical necessity anyway. In some sense, or in some ways, I agree with what Miles said last year about the "engine" being good, but I think there are various ways to improve that vehicle and get it moving at a higher speed at times.

I wouldn't blame you if you never posted here again.

OP. You work for the government in some capacity correct?

Au contraire; My thread had generated conversation and has brought out other drowned-out voices who aren't jumping for joy over this. I'd call that a success.

Couldn't be further from the truth - I have a Ron Swanson-esque outlook on government.

Just gonna bump myself here... guess my prediction was just a year and a half off.
