the past 2 trips to tuscaloosa should have gone a LONG way for some of you. I was there and it broke alot of the gumps down pretty hard.

I'd pay $400.00 for tickets for all of my family plus airline fares ($1500.00) and hotel accomodations ($400.00) plus tailgaiting (at least $1000.00) for a total of $2,300.00. The win will be "Priceless".

Bama used to march thru LSU like Sherman thru Atlanta. Even in the good Cholly Mac years, Arnsbarger and the first couple of Archer years, we were the Bama whipping boy.
I have no hate for Satan. Respect the hell out of him. But I still have those memories of praying this was the year only to get disappointed by the Bear and Stallings.

I remember all those phantom calls in the 70's that would give the Bear the win, or always the benefit of the doubt on close calls (those of you that are not that old may refer to the LSU/Auburn games in 04 & 06 for comparison. I got it all out of my system when Stovall's team went to Alabama in 82 & we shut them down completely. The Bear said they were beaten in every phase of the game, & they were. Bama had 6 first downs and 119 total yds for the game 
! Everything since then is lagniappe.
I will always feel that beatdown by the Tigers was a key ingredient in the Bear's retirement at the end of that season, & the start of the, uhum, Ray Perkins' era

If the other 2 losses were to SEC-east teams, DEFINITELY!!! Beating BAMA would then most likely get us a ticket into the SECCG, assuming that we finish up the season by beating Ole PISS and Arky! Grew up watching LSU get beat over and again by BAMA, as they rode the success train momentum from being the first to succeed due to integration, and from the aura of the Bear that was enabled by that success.
That was then. Now, they are just another team that i want the Tigers to beat, to allow us to win the west, and in order to shut up their trailer-park-elitist fans.

I'm 40 and wouldn't give a damn thing to beat Bama......#1 they aren't worth it, and #2 we have beat them for the last 5 years and will kick their arse for the sixth in a row.......Bama, Bama, oh Bama won't you bite my arse!
