If your team is worried about who's on the schedule, they don't belong in the playoffs

Line them up and knock them down. Play Georgia three times and Bama in Tuscaloosa in a blizzard.
Joe Burrow, Grant Delpit, and Devin White didn't come to LSU to play the easy teams.
Let them play the games. Have fun watching and partying.

So...Bama doesn't belong in the playoffs? I disagree. It matters who you play. It matters greatly.

I agree, if your team is good enough, it is good enough no matter the schedule.
LSU has had to play Tenn twice and UGA twice over the years.
That's the whole purpose of the playoff committee.
A tough schedule should be rewarded and a 1 loss LSU should trump an undefeated Notre Dame or a 2 loss LSU should have a chance against a 1 loss team with a lesser schedule.

I don't think he's suggesting strength of schedule doesn't matter. I think he's suggesting if we're a championship team we shouldn't care about who emerges from the sec east.
