I'd sue the City of Tuscaloosa for building the sidewalk too close to my arse.

From my coaching perspective (I am a OC at a High School so take this lightly), I would....

Have the D-Line pinch....

Blitz my corners periodicly to take away the outside run.

Play man on RR, maybe have my OLB/MLB play back an extra few yards

Play my speed SS/FS

Stack the box every play, and take JJ's run away

one thing Alabama hasn't done that we have since the game is play another good team. LSU has played another defense that runs a 3-4 defense, so we've had an entire game of practice against a good defense that runs a similar gameplan that Bama does. Obviously, Bama has better players than UGA, and we were stymied by UGA in the first half offensively and were against Bama too. We moved the ball on the ground with ease against UGA in the 2nd and moved "better" against Bama in the 2nd, but we're gonna have to establish a passing game the 2nd go around if we want to win. We can't beat them again, IMO< scoring 6 points in regulation, too much to ask of the defense when you have trent richardson running at you.

As for Bama, the first game they had to gameplan for both QBs, and for this game they only have to focus on JJ, so their gameplan will change in that respect; however, I doubt they change much. What they did on defense worked the last time, and it's our coaches' jobs to figure out how to beat what they bring to the table. What will change is their approach offensively. The thought they'd be able to just pound us with richardson the whole game like they can against everyone else and then have the passing game open up when other teams begin loading the box. i expect them to come out passing more this game than last because outside a couple blown coverages on richardson in the flats, they couldn;t move the ball in the air at all.

if they do this, we really need to bring back the short wide receiver screens on the slant like we used to run all the time with bowe and doucet. saw that once in the arkansas game with shepard scoring a TD, and i think we have the receivers to run it if jefferson can get his timing and reads down for that play.
