If you were Nick Saban...

I'd sue the City of Tuscaloosa for building the sidewalk too close to my arse.

As for the language upon arrival, there were two kids, which were arrested, going into classes yelling profanities and tiger bait on Friday, so as you can imagine this fired up most of the students...

Obviously, you was a English major at WVU. :booboo:

So you are the talent expert that we must turn to when trying to figure something out.
You know nothing more than the rest of us much less "the Kid" so take your small man complex and enlarged man clit and eat it

Did it take you very long to think that profound reply up?
Those of us who can read will note that I only stated facts to make my case. You, on the other hand, parrot hearsay and conjecture from a 16 year old that may not exist. Here's an invitation for your ignorant arse, come to any St. Paul's game, home side in front of the press box and ask for Houston's family. Then we can carry this debate on in person. Or better yet, watch the game and draw your own conclusions.

I think the kid would know his own talent, don't you? Ain't no coincidence he only posts in Bates threads...

Wrong, shite for brains. Friend of the family who doesn't like to see a future tiger run down by alleged fans.

"Bates is average. Nobody on the team thought LSU would even consider him. He is slow and not that big. He works hard but thats about it."

Average. Let's see, he was All District, All Metro, and District Defensive MVP as a Junior. MVP at the Scout Combine (great film of him smokin' La'el Collins on Scout's site, BTW). Slow- ran a 4.65 40 and 4.1 5/10/5 at LSU's camp.

So i was worried envy could be leaking from the kids mouth so i asked if he liked the kid.

"One of my better friends on the team I just think he got really lucky to get an offer."

With friends like that, who needs enemies? Jealous is an evil thing.

If you have been trying to get the low down on this kid for a month and still think he's average, then either you have some serious cognitive issues, or your sources are limited to complete imbeciles. Other than the usual carping because he's white or not ideal size and doesn't have enough stars or come from a football powerhouse, most people who have actually seen him play ball are favorably impressed- including the coaching staff at LSU.

As for your buddy's retarded nephew (if he does exist), he should grow a pair and share his concerns with Houston face to face. And maybe you can give him some pointers on getting through life with the brain capacity of a freakin' squirrel. :doublebird:

I agree and hope for the best. I spoke to his D-Line coach, who said he was borderline SEC talent. Im sure his coach is as shocked as anyone.

Since the St. Paul's coaches see SEC talent about as frequently as they see Elvis or Sasquatch, I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in that appraisal. How often do Miles and Co. see SEC talent?

Houston Bates
He's a heck of a football player, but his size is an issue for playing defensive line in the SEC. The video is for us to see how suited he is to playing linebacker, which is where he is practicing at camp.

Wrong. He's spent only about a third of the workouts with the LB's.

With all due respect, all I saw on the video was one nice speed rush by Bates, then a screen play where he was supposed to be let in, then clearly Faulk missed an assignment and Bates got the RB. I didnt see them go 'heads up' except on the one speed rush.... I dont see that it proves anything for either kid.

Agreed. All it proves is that he wasn't "kept out of the backfield". Neither one "dominated". But to say that Faulk "kicked his arse" is untrue.

Chris Faulk whipped his arse this year.

Have to admitt Faulk kept him outta the backfield

Did you two geniuses watch the same game as everyone else? I think most folks don't feel either one dominated. In order to refresh you obviously faulty memories:
Bates being "kept out of the backfield" by Faulk

You may now STFU. You two know a lot for being so goddamn dumb.
quote:

its the same exact competition chris faulk played against. that district had something like 4-5 teams in the state playoffs last year.

It was actually 6 teams. Not a weak district at all.

Did it take you very long to think that up? Dipshit.
Lance Guidry gives his version of events on Tigerbait. Seems he wanted to keep Janzen out of the crack houses of that virtual den of iniquity, Welsh, LA. Or running the roads to New Orleans. Or staying with his momma in South Central Los Angeles. Figures Ol' Rocky Top is the only safe place for his boy- who he must be worried will get into trouble without his constant presence. Besides, he'll be close in Oxford, OH- say 300 miles or so. What excremental, self-serving, contradictory drivel. He must have had Coach O help him come up with that alibi, given the high order logic that went into it. What a Jackass. :violin:

H. Bates,6'2", 240, 4.6, 2010, St. Paul's DE- #11 on DD's list, will be at Jr. day this weekend. Was defensive MVP in 6-5A as a Jr. largely based on his pass rushing.
