Add this one to your list. If I told you we would give up 4 touchdowns to Oklahoma and we would win by 5 touchdowns in the CFP semi final, you would have laughed your arse off

Bonus Question... which of the above was the most unlikely?

I would guess that few, if any, predicted the early thrashing of Bama and first half annihilation of Oklahoma.

Joe Burrow will break Colt Brennan's 58 Passing Touchdown record (Hawai'i).
Expected Response: Ok riiiiiight.. against SEC defenses? I guess LSU has joined the Pac-12 or MWC now?

Burrow thread before last season:
https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/lsu-sports/pff-college---joe-burrow-is-ready-to-lead-lsu-once-again-this-season/84801310/

Some comments from the thread, looking for anything to diminish LSU's most recent Heisman winner:

Burrow was rated a Top-5 QB vs Rice,A&M, and UCF

50th and 98th in Passing yards allowed. respectively

I really Like Joe but it’s sorta predictable that he would have good stats vs Rice. They were probably the worst team in college football last year.

But the 'top 5' label for a 3 game stretch is very misleading. Who did the other 120 QBs play during that same stretch, etc?

I predict Buckeye going scorched earth on the entire offensive staff and getting banned before the season ends when it becomes apparent that Jeaux won't reach the ridiculous goals he has in his signature.
A Great and accurate response: (I predict Goldrush will look like a Fool when Burrow hits those numbers with ease.)

And after facing the 49th, 87th, 98th and 125th pass defenses, I would hope to god that he would be in the top 5 against those powerhouses.

Enough downgrading Burreaux, let's take a shot at the head coach just because:
He’s always been a cutthroat fricker but he didn’t have the X’s and Os to get results in the field. Aranda provides him a strong base

A few from the smart people who are actually LSU fans:

I don't see why people are arguing in this thread.

It paints a positive picture for LSU. Some just can't stand that. Of all the crisis in the world, PFF needs to be totally evaluated if they say something good about Jeaux Burreaux.

Same cast of characters, every single thread

Nah! Bitchers gonna bitch. Ree just exposes them.
Wonder what would happen if LSU would win it all.

That is glancing at the first 4 pages of a 17 page thread. I'm sure there are a lot juicier comments and morons than what is quoted above.

I've said Burrow will solidify himself as one of the best lsu QBs ever and we will have 1 regular season loss.

It's like you're too stupid to read.

it only gets worse if O wins a title.
perma ban bet that o doesnt win the sec title in the next 2 years?

since you're so confident in O lets agree on that perma ban bet.

I'd have to go with the 60 TD passes. Getting up that big on a Big XII team is not that hard. Everyone loves LSU football, so why shouldn't the President want to attend. We typically play bama better in Tuscaloosa anyway, so I could see this as a possiblity.

Considering I was so relieved when we scored that first TD against Bama, I’d say the Bama score...we scored 10 pts in two games And I’m supposed to believe we’d be up by 20 at half... ? No way.
I still consider beating Bama in B’ham as the biggest highlight of the season...

Good point. Heck, the dude invited the whole team over to his place for photos four days later!

So that's THREE get-togethers in the span of approx. two months!
