We had 25 pass plays and 25 run plays last week. Hard to get more balanced than that. We have actually passed the ball quite a bit this year, but your Miles hatred is distorting your perception of reality. Our offense suck, but it's not due to a lack of passing. I challenge you to provide some stats to back up your assertion that he forsakes the forward pass.

And done a pretty damn good job of it too
Please explain why we can't field a competent offense.

Lots of passing, based on what we've seen, and somebody might have 30 points at the half. And it probably won't be us.
I see you carry the Miles playbook around: a pussy's approach to football.
I want to see LSU come out fighting with all of their weapons and on both sides of the ball. Whatever the risk!
Mett's current deficiencies are Miles' responsibility. Miles chose to keep Mett riding the pine last season, basically wasting a year of eligibility while not developing him at that time for this season. This is a glaring example of the coach's lack of foresight.

It'll be O-tay widdle fellow.
And if that' doesnt' work threaten to tie some snacks in a hankercheif, attach it to the end of a stick and run away from home. Works every time.

Miles might have something to do with those defenses ya douche

yes, he outsourced that to Chavis, one of his better hires.

He's an offensive coach, the defense belongs to Chavis,as evidenced by it's stellar play.

OP has a point. It's the current tend that is troubling and is an omen for the future. Tonight's game is HUGE. People who are objective tiger fans know this. The embarrassment of the BCS, the current unsatisfactory play of the O. The failure to make any in-game adjustments, changes in skill personnel or attempt at a vertical passing game I between the hash marks is a troubling trend. We are at home. Night game. Streak on the line. Conference game. Backs against the wall. Will Miles make the necessary changes? A little side note- there are going to be some mega- badass recruits watching tonight. Next yr may be the best class "on paper" we have seen in La. I truly believe this yr is a crossroad for Miles/LSU.

A lot depends on your definition of competent. Is it an offense that slings the ball all over the field without regard to the consequences? Is it an offense that plays conservatively so as to reduce the possibility of turnovers? Is it an offense that strives for a balanced attack between pass and rush yards, pass and rush plays.
With our defense, my personal choice would be to take a few more chances because I know they can bail me out. Miles doesn't see it the same way. Which one of us is right? I don't know. It's all above my pay grade.

I see. You are one of those guys that gives all of the blame for Malveto to Miles but no credit for Chavis and Pelini. Objectivity. It's a wonderful thing, you should try it.

We'll continue to get defensive recruits, but the offense has got to start doing something before it impacts recruiting.
No Qb wants to hand the ball off 70% of the time and no WR wants to be a runblocker

OK please stop with the bullshite. LSU is a power run team, and we all know it. Had things gone differently in the beginning of the season ie: injuries, no one would be having this conversation. The O-line is decimated and about as effective as a screen door on a submarine. The coaches have to play who is available. Do you honestly think that Miles is going to call pass plays when the WR are dropping balls thrown right at the numbers, and Mett doesn't have the time to get rid of the ball? Please stop wishing for LSU to have Madden type QB's. Geno, Barkely, Klien, AJ all would be running for their life behind the LSU O-line right now.

To quote Skip Bertman's baseball parlance, you have to get:
"Timely hits."
LSU's offense has to make pass attempts (and complete them) at the right time. (hint: right time = when completion would have the maximum benefit, for the series, quarter, game).

I just find that Miles was willing to take more chances during his first couple of years because he had nothing to lose and no record to protect. Since then he has become more conservative it seems because of all the heat and ridicule he took during the first few years for what some in the media considered questionable calls that made him look stupid. It didn't seem to affect him at the time but in hindsight I believe he was hurt by the ridicule he took over some of his calls and so now plays by the book a lot more and seems to be too predictable.

That is some absurd shite right there. Even after the edit.
