I think IF LSU drops one to UNC, Miles will be, barring any stunning undefeated or great win streak, fired...

He did it in '05 after the UT loss.

Choc, I really think that a UNC loss would be devastating. For the simple fact that there IS so much negativity and the players know it.

The LSU fanbase will explode with a loss. It'll be a firestorm of negativity that makes the Ole Miss loss look tame.

It's going to be a very, very long year with a loss to UNC.

You don't have to worry about that

there IS so much negativity

hmmm....there's a simple solution to this. Stop being a bunch of whiny frickin bitches.

It'll be a firestorm of negativity that makes the Ole Miss loss look tame.

It shouldn't be....UNC is ranked and it has no bearing on the SEC. But ofcourse the Sabanistas will come out in full force.

It's going to be a very, very long year with a loss to UNC.

Again....you don't have to worry about this.

Can't gripe too much when you're playin' on New Year's Day

I would rather have seen LSU in a BCS bowl, but I will never piss and moan on a LSU team which plays Penn St on New Years Day on national TV in the Capital One Bowl with a shot at a Top 10 national ranking.

Others can think as they please, but I have seen poor/bad/mediocre seasons with LSU and this wasn't one.

Early season losses, especially season openers, are not impossible to overcome.

That would show a lot of ignorance cause their defense may be THE strongest we face all season.

Not necessarily.

If you really mean that then your homerness has truly clouded your judgement. No games are gimmes, THIS ONE especially.

Not sure if their two players are suspended or not but if they play some people are going to be shocked. I tried to tell our fans this last year when we were going to UDub and it fell on deaf ears then after, oh yeah, they're legit.

and EXCEPT dinardo never even approached a top 5 finish, let alone 3 of them....not to mention a NC. What africking moron...a wet behind the ears moron that has no clue about what it takes to have a winning program. There are fricking 15 teams in the country that think they should win it all every year.....fricking idiot.

Washington was 2000 miles away, in a bad time zone for lsu.....and washington was a decent team at home....and lets face itlsu wasn't great last year. This is a fricking overrated ACC team, just like va tech is every year and ga tech is every year. Atlanta is home away from home for lsu. This game is a comfortable beatdown. Book it danno.

very much agree lonnie....but you have to understand we have a bunch of new, young, bandwagon fans now who just aren't bright enough to realize that yet. they will eventually.

This will not happen. We could lose 6 games and it won't happen. Unemployment is up to 7.2% and teachers are getting fired. The university faces a huge deficit. To get a reputable coach would require $$$ which LSU doesn't have. No I don't see it happening.
We are too broke as a state and university system.

Who knows what will happen, but you mention some very valid points.

I don't care where the money comes from, releasing a well liked, susccessful coach with his type buyout with the state colleges, including LSU, undergoing major funding woes is not going to happen. imo

If LSU loses to UNC...
And manages to lose again to UF, Bama, and either Ole Miss, UT, or Arkansas, does he get fired? IMO yes..You couldn't tell me three or four years ago LSU would be just barely favored over a freaking ACC team..Now, we're lucky just to be favored..And that's where it ends..

I think IF LSU drops one to UNC, Miles will be, barring any stunning undefeated or great win streak, fired...

Don't get me wrong, i hope we beat the shite outta UNC, but as far as what ifs, this is what i can see happening..8-4 ain't gonna cut it

In your scenario yes. There will be some good coaching out their at the end of this year. I just hope we can trust the Lsu movers & shakers to keep us battling the elite in college football and sec. Of course I hope Lsu has a great season and wins the west but I am soo tired of the excuses. In 2 weeks we will get our first glimpse!

a susrprise? what, did the acc reinvent themselves? lmao. it's the same fricking thing EVERY year with them...big early season matchup that turns into a blow out....or lsu/vatch...bama/va tech.....this year no differenct except NC not as good as va tech. LSU has already proven what they do to ACC schools....ga tech? Just because ga tech skull fricked you that year...lsu won by what 35 in the bowl? lmao. Don't forget, Miles has lost ONE game outside of conference..at lsu..period....and that would not have happened had theynot been wearing hip boots against a big ten team.

And the jury is still out this year.

This is a fricking overrated ACC team,
Last year it was just one QB Jake Locker who was overrated.

It's not HOME though.

It definitely COULD be imo and I hope you're right- it's also one we could drop too though.

I think you are way wrong here. This will be a battle and hopefully we can find a way to win bc if we don't get ready... You think this is being negative?

To answer your question, Yes. I think He will be fired if that were to happen. But i also the tigers will do very well this year. And then, Les will win back the hearts of all those doubters out there. Go Tigers.

there are 10 games we COULD lose. going to play washington and playing an overrated accteam are not even close. LSU is going to open a seirous case of whip arse on UNC...watch. Then the media will be all over them as if they never had stayed away...watch. frick the media. it's funny how they always say that the lsu game could be a tough one when they are breaking down an opponents schedule...yet lsu gets zero respect. Herby carries a lot of weight in the college football world...and les made him look bad....just saying. I assure you, unfortunately, the coaches from other teams know better than to overlook lsu.
