They fricked Alabama so bad last year, they're looking for a reason to put them in this time.

We need State to step up big time against them. With them losing four in-a-row, they are due for a win. Let's hope so...then we need to keep winning, of course.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a #4 seed get a BYE in the first round, then get matched up against Kentucky in the 3rd round(assuming both win in the 2nd round.)
Both Bama and LSU are bubble teams that need to win as much as possible, therefore a BYE is probably not the best option. (2-1 > 1-1)
In other words, #5 seed is a better place to be. No?

For LSU, you're right. Due to a top 30 RPI and top 20 SOS, Alabama will be in the tournament if they win two of the last three which would put them at 9-7 in the SEC. LSU though has to win out to get to 10-6 to still be on the bubble come SECt time. So ideally for LSU, both Alabama and LSU win out to get to 10-6 and Alabama would win the tiebreak and get the 4 seed. Then LSU would have an additional (assumed) win against South Carolina to add to their resume. So yes, for LSU you're right being the five seed would be better, but they have to win out in the regular season regardless to have a chance. So really, LSU fans should be hoping Alabama wins out as well.

This goes along with what I just posted. Bama was 20-10 and 12-4 before the SEC Tourney and finished 21-11 after the tourney. 1-1 didn't cut it. They needed more wins in the SEC tourney to improve their resume. That BYE didn't do them any favors.
