For the umpteenth time, CLM fired himself. LSU is just making it official. The man could have saved his job had he just tried to do something to help himself, but he didn't. That's on him- not the fans or anyone else. I think LSU has done all they can, given their position, to keep this professional and respectful. There is no way to fire someone with this high profile and keep it from turning messy.
Quit blaming the fans for Les' misfortune. The fans haven't done shite to the guy. This is all on Les.

So finishing top 15 2 of the last 3 years isn't enough? Because if it isn't you're entitled as frick.

I'm glad LSU isn't settling for mediocrity like Georgia.

quote:Yes I have blasted his coaching and more than a few times, as you and others here know. And many of which I am now not proud of. At the end of the day, I have a high value for something that used to be called "common decency" and fair play. Not seeing much of that in the mix lately.
I've seen you blast miles in the past...now you want to take a sentimental trip down memory lane?
But hey, I'm not expecting people like you, RedTigerRulz, to understand things like that. Too decent.

My question is when the next coach loses two or more games in a row, is he going to get fired?

and to the degree that I very well may find other interests than LSU football, under those kinds of conditions.
Bye Felicia.
You didn't make any kind of impression while you were here and you sure as hell won't when you're gone.

But its always a case of falling back in the rankings and holding on for dear life. Its not like we were playing well at the end of the season and climbed into the top 15.

Wrong on all counts. It's over and it needs to be.

No, I don't. That isn't how the world works. Just because something similar happened in the past doesn't mean that it has absolutely any effect on the future. Vegas makes around a hundred million dollars a week off of people convincing themselves that they can use the past to somehow know what's going to happen in the future, it's a broken thought process.
And I'm not sure what you're getting at with your psychoanalysis of me but keep it to yourself, I'm not the irrational one in this conversation. The bottom line is that Les Miles is aging and life happens. He was great for LSU for a long time, he's a great representative of the university, and he's a great man, but we've severely underperformed in the last 3 years and it's very unlikely that he turns it around considering his lack of fire and intensity compared to years past. Time to see what the next guy can do

the silent majority is with the jawga tiger. I was there thru the Cholly Mac era, and it is the vocal
minority that continues to show their lack of football knowledge and coaching through their inane comments. If Miles leaves, they will be making the same comments next year....and the sad thing about it is: they probably have never been on campus....

quote:You have got to be kidding. But maybe you didn't read the myriad of personal potshots directed at this coach on Scoreboard, week after week, year after year, many of which were quickly whacked?
As far as the fans, I have seen no one attacking his character or using personal insults

quote:No, it's clear you do not understand. What my biggest objection has been, since the Cholly Mac massacre, is the mean spirited and dishonorable way some LSU fans and officials handled things related to making the transition both then and now. Just take the psychoanalysis as lagniappe.
