some of the responses in this thread have me wondering how our fanbase made it through seasons prior to Miles when we were losing 3+ games every year.

Well, I'm sure there were a bunch of pissed off stupid rednecks just like today, but they didn't have an internet message board to bitch about it all day.

or the coordinator on the outside who would want to risk his career by taking a job where that 13-0 regular season wasn't "good enough" for the last guy.

Your post was a pretty logical positiger response until this bullshite. No coordinator would be "risking his career" by taking over our program if given the chance. Yea they were 13-0 but that wasn't what the disapointment was all about. This team wins the majority of its games despite the offense. He would not be judged on wins and losses as much as he would be judged on offensive production and improvement. And we all know there is no where to go but up in that regard.

I can handle losing. As a life-long Saints and LSU fan, I've learned to live with losing.

When we go out there and give the opponent our best shot and lose...I have no problem with it at all. When we play better than we actually are and lose...I have no problem with it AT ALL.

When we are LOADED with talent and have a chance in history to REALLY rack up some hardware yet we piss the chance away because of mismanagement...I lose my mind.

When we are LOADED with talent but continue to play below our potential, I lose my mind.

I'd rather watch a less talented team that played to the absolute best of their abilities than to see what we are currently seeing.

That's the difference.

You wanted to know how we dealt with losing. I'm explaining it to you.

1) No effect.

I will be as excited for the first game as I was for every game during the leaner years I've witnessed: 1989-1995; 1998-1999.

If you are dumb enough to believe that he's gonna change ANYTHING, then you definitely belong on this board.

I have been a loyal LSU fan for over 40 years. But after watching the debacle in the BCS game of 2011, and after watching a few games this past year, I will not watch another LSU game until miles is gone...

I will write him a letter. Telling him how upset I am. And inform him I will refuse to watch LSU on tv if he doesn't change the offense.

It wasn't as bad because we knew we didn't have the coaching or player talent to win a NC, at least before Sabin came anyway.

And like others if we showed up a gave a 100% for every game and lost I can live with that. But at 2 or 3 games a year we play down to the competition (Towson ring a bell. Or Miles has a brain Fart and loses a game do to poor coaching.

I'll say "whew, I'm glad the staff that had us about a minute/one stop away from playing in our 3rd nc game in ten years is still together" ......

2, sad to say...at this point, honestly because I know there won't be changes so I am just hoping the majority like myself are wrong in our disgust of what has happened and Miles proves us all wrong by blowing doors next year. Prove it, I say....have to see it to believe it and then get excited about. Right now I'm convinced the majority is RIGHT

1. Didnt enjoy watching that shite show of an offense this year, won't next year. I didn't put myself through the torture of it several times this year, won't next year.

2) Will still watch LSU football but not as excited

Living in Savannah there are a shite ton of UF, USCe, and UGA fans around, and they can be pretty annoying when LSU isn't playing well...
