Is there any chance we hold on to the 2 line over them? I know we need teams like Mich State to lose, and Texas Tech lost to WVU last night which is huge. Barring us getting absolutely hosed by the committee (which I do realize after watching today's game is totally possible), I think we could still hold on to a 2 seed like the bracketologists said going into this week. I'm also perfectly fine with a 3, but anything below that is just plain offensive.

ETA: Looks like most think 2 is unattainable, so I guess the better question is who on earth jumps us to move us down to a 4?

No, unlike us those two teams seeding has been locked in for the last 3 weeks.

I don’t think so.

I guess you never know, but it appears to me LSU is locked and loaded for a 3

If we were behind them both going in to today, as most projections had us, no way we can pass them now. Have to think, no matter what, we're behind UVA, Duke, UNC, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan State. Never say never for that last spot, but I agree with most here that a 3 seems almost certain. Purdue, Michigan, Houston are the other teams to watch. With TT out, can't seem them jumping to the 2-line.

With perception that current LSU team isn’t the same as LSU team of the rest of the season due to not having a head coach, which this notion is supported today with the loss, I think 3-seed is best case scenario. With all of the negative attention we’re getting currently, I think we’re most likely to be a 4-seed.

Unless Florida State beats UVA today, I would be absolutely shocked to be lower than a 3.

interesting that you bring up FSU, though. they have the H2H on us and only 1 more loss should they lose today, so it wouldn't shock me if they were placed ahead of us.

We took the possibility of a 3 away from both UTk and UK today. We get a 3 or maybe even a 4 if the committee overthinks it

Not sure if you're on the selection committee, but ESPN, CBS Sports, and SB Nation all had us as a 2 going into today's game.
