I guess Auburn doesn't count.

no they don't

The good teams of the SEC are Alabama and UF. Everyone else is just around average.

I fail to see Auburn in the top 25, you know why that is?

They got blown out by Arkansas and LSU while losing to UK and Georgia.

I don't consider a team with 5 loses and not 1 quality win a good SEC team, but that is just my opinion.

They gave up over 27 ppg to SEC teams and gave up 31 to Furman. That is not a good team

I think LSU turns it around next year with a bigger offensive line. We run the ball and JJ will become a great playaction QB IMO. Its going to start in the trenches

Mega dittos. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a problem with this stupid and flawed logic. Instead of asking "what if" lets deal in reality. Les Miles is the coach, he is not a great coach, but he is our coach. He has won a National Championship, an SEC championship, 2 SEC Western Division Championships, 51 games, 2 BCS bowl games, and 3 non-BCS bowl games. And oh yeah, he's also a heck of a recruiter. So "if" you want him fired the only thing you have to do is hope LSU fails.

So you want to dominate the #1 and #2 teams in the country. Like i said "people like this will never be satisfied."

Then why didn't you just say we didn't bet the crap out of Bama or UF?

It's getting so old people just picking and choosing what they are willing to recognize from this season.

The Rant is as close to unreadable as I've ever seen it.

You can concentrate your attention on an offensive stat ranking if you like and I will concentrate my attention on nation poll ranking, SEC ranking, and bowl games like most of the college football sports world does.

kind of like you pick and choose what you read?

quote:

because Bama and UF aren't always the only good teams in the SEC year in and year out. They are the best this year but it OBVIOUSLY changes every year
2008-->UF, Bama, Ole Miss, UGA
2007-->LSU, UF, UGA, Auburn
2006-->LSU, Arkansas, UF, UT, Auburn

I think I already made this point with my original post.

quote:

To start, I would like to see LSU dominate MSU, Vandy, Troy, La. Tech, Washington, etc. Then I would like to see LSU play to the level that other elite programs, which we should be, are playing at.

I'm pretty sure I asked when is the last time LSU dominated a good SEC team, implying that I wasn't just talking about this year, but Miles' whole tenure. Do we play the #1 and #2 team in the country every year? shite, I think I even said this in earlier post

quote:

I understand that when you play a good team, it is hard to wipe them of the field.

BTW, I don't give a frick what UF and Bama are ranked. At the level LSU's program is now, we shouldn't get held to 3 points in a game. UF held us to 162 yards and Bama put up 452 yards on us while rushing for 176 yards. They both imposed their will onto LSU.

Washington outgained us by 150 yards
MSU out gained us by 100+ yards
La. Tech outgained us by 80 yards
Ole Miss outgained us by almost 150 yards

That is unacceptable. Only Ole Miss should have been able to stay on the field with us.

All I'm saying is other elite teams manage to blow another conference team out every once in a while. Florida's average margin of victory last year in the SEC was over 30 points. Other teams have done it to us, it is time to return the favor.

I want LSU to outplay a good team for 60 minutes of football like we've done in the past. We should be able to kick one of the elite's arse once in a while. I think Miles' realizes this and is making changes.

1 SEC championship in 5 yrs with arguably the best talent LSU has ever had on the field.

He has only won 2 non-BCS bowl games.

exactly. We need to get as many as we can while we're still considered an elite program

I agree

You don't think leading the #1 team in the nation into the 4th quarter, only to lose it without our starting qb, rb, and best defender is playing to their level?

I know what you're trying to say, and I somewhat agree, but sometimes I think people just have an exaggerated view of our past dominance. Every elite program goes through peaks and valleys, it's rare to maintain dominance like that for long periods.
