it stands to reason that good defense helps good pitching beat good hitting. I have NO idea why our defensive alignment is so weak in LF and 1B. Morgan is below average in LF - even w his speed. He had a bead on that fly ball and just didn't catch it today. It was a tough play but the ball was in his glove. He also didn't align himself well on trying to throw runner out from 3rd base on shallow fly ball. Jones does o.k. at 1st base but today he had a few miscues. Morgan is elite at 1st base. We can find someone to play LF at a championship level. Roster is way too talented. It simply ain't happening w Morgan. Jones should DH. That would help IMHO.

I agree with Morgan at 1st. He’s that good at 1st and hasn’t been all that great in the outfield.

You really have "no idea"

The logic is that having Beloso and Jones in the lineup is more beneficial then having Tre at first.

I think the argument can be made at this point that kling should get more PT but certainly not Pearson.

But if you want Tre at first snd Kling in Left then Jared or Cade has to sit.

Jared is hitting over .340 with more home runs than Crews and is 2nd on the team.

Beloso is right over .300 with 8 HRs and has been very clutch.

I don't think it's s bad idea to sit either of them for s game but to act like it's this incredibly hard thing to figure out why the lineup is like this is retarded. They're trading some defense for some offense and they think it gives them the best chance to win.
