IMHO, I think the man has or had health issues that have gone unreported or maybe even undiagnosed.

Don't know whether it was a slight stroke or dimentia or what, but for him to hire Cam & keep him after it was clear he wasn't the answer for a sorry offense is just void of logic.

I agree with you there. But just giving you a few reasons he may not have been contacted yet. It's no attack on him. It's just about what have you done lately society.. you should know this....

Yeah but posters are using his lack of public offers to try and prove he was a shite coach all along.

Well to be fair after 2011 LSU has fallen off... that is a fact in most schools eyes.... You would think after that great year they would have kept up with top ten finishes every year ... I am not getting into the top 16 finishes you always bring up... I think he lands somewhere by WHY rush... he is making great money to sit on the porch and drink some beer watching the traffic go by....

sorry. That's just not reality.

I'm not going to go rounds with you. It's over. But, whatever he used to be, in the year 2016, Miles was not a good coach.

And, no one is fighting to get him now. Not even podunk places. You can tell yourself whatever bedtime stories make you happy if you like.

In 2016, he sucked.

What? There is 1 program in all of cfb that has finished top 10 every year since 2011.

He turned a horrible program at Oklahoma state into a respectable program and had the best tenure ever at a top 15 alltime program.
He has the 7th best win % in the history of the sec.
He just coached in a national title game 5 years ago and his last 5 years consist of 4 top 16 teams and 3 10 win seasons.

Youre being biased if you really believe a 53 years old coach with that resume wouldnt get big time offers.

You have no idea who has reached out to miles and youre using that as proof that no one has reached out to him.

Houston and Purdue were possibles.

"anyone" turns out to be two schools we could suppose he might have tried.

I wonder if he tried for FAU?

Miles is still very viable, but his age is a factor, Even though you cannot hire or fire because of age when applying for a HC job, or any other job.
Miles also hurt his reputation with his lackluster offense and failure to adapt to change and improving offense while at LSU.
He is as good a person as you want, but that's probably hurting his cause the most imo.

You're talking about the past when I was referring to now. And, I was pretty specific on it too so, you're just being obtuse.

In 2016, his coaching is about as marketable as a disease and age isn't the only reason.

Nope. Big time schools want you to be good TOMORROW.

Peyton Manning has a phenomenal resume, but, even if half the teams in the league lost their QBs tomorrow, he wouldn't get a call.

What? In no way do coaches get jobs based on the future. Herman got his job because of what he has done. Saban was hired by bama because of what he had done.

Also, i know you have a hatred for miles but youre not being honest with yourself if you think winning 10 games 3 of the last 5 years isnt marketable. Youre letting your hate for miles cloud your judgement. Outside of the best coaches in the nfl(carroll and Belichick) and Saban what 63 year old coach is getting major job offers?

Hell lane kiffen is getting HC job offers and his resume is shite compared to what Miles has accomplished. You dont understand the nature of retreading in cfb coaching if you relly believe a 55 year old coach that has 2 national title game appearances in the last 10 years wouldnt get a bunch of offers.
Its like you really believe lsu was this shite program tha last 5 years.

So just to be clear,
Youre saying a 55 year old coach that just averaged 10 wins for a decade in the hardest division in cfb and has won a national title and played in another title game WOULDNT GET OFFERS?

Youre easily letting your hatred of miles cloud your judgement. Far worse resumes continously get offers.

This isnt the same situation and you know it.
