After the saints drafted him I went back and watched some of Notre Dame's games with Book at quarterback and thought he looked pretty good. Looked like a steal for a fourth round pick. If he was a few inches taller he looked like he could have been a late first or second round pick.

Not a Saints fan and don't watch many of their games but how the hell is Ruiz a normal starter? I thought he was one of those COVID guys but he's the normal starter? He is terrible
Then why not go find something you are qualified to bitch about?

Offensive lines matter. Norte Dame had one, the Saints did not have one last night. Book is not as bad as he looked last night but he is not the Saints future either. CBK is emphasizing the offensive line first. Our offense will eventually revolve around that core as two and three year 4/5 star athletes come and go.

Are you seriously using an NFL players first start to say he was a bad college QB?

Les didn’t win with Jennings or Harris. That’s why he ended up getting fired

You explained why your opinion should hold no weight - before you offered it.

The Saints rolled out the worst O line I have seen in a while and zero receivers to throw to. Can’t judge Book on that game. It didn’t look like they had practiced together on offense and play calling was very predictable. Book wasn’t why they lost that game.

Honestly, you could see it coming mid-week.

Are you really saying that a rookie who looked bad in his his first start in the NFL is trash and that the success he had as a seasoned college senior was all on the coach?

And if so, what does that say about Sean Payton (whom by all accounts is an offensive guru)?

I don't think you need to be a fan of a team to offer your opinion on how a player is playing
One could say that would make you more objective.

Book must have earned his draft ranking against LSU in the bowl game.

Fair enough - generally. Your ripping a full time starter for his play with a makeshift line. Pretty safe bet that he's the one executing assignments correctly and it looks like shite because the others are out of sync.

I don't know what that means.
