If Canada leaves, a homerun here at OC would be Kendal Briles

please any higher up LSU alum make it happen, if you want change and QB development

The son of Art Briles, in before “don’t want a POS Briles around LSU”; but it was his dad’s doing at Baylor; Kendal Briles is exactly what LSU needs, he won’t leave after 1-2 seasons, he’s had his hand in the spread at Baylor and FAU, look at their offenses that he’s had a hand in. Worked with RG3, Stidham, Petty; implements the offense his dad ran at Baylor; this would be a great under the radar hire, that could help develop a QB; I’m sick of this OC switch every couple of years

Kendal Briles go get the kid and watch LSU start lighting up opponents for 600 yards not named A&M

Could you imagine LSU running the spread with a power run attack like Baylor did? Unstoppable with the athletes we have

Sure downvote away but this is the hire plain and simple, think about it

While the higher ups are at your Christmas cocktail parties mention Kendal Briles

Side note: I’d take Hugh Freeze in a heart beat as well, just prefer Briles, because of youth and less likely to leave and less baggage, Freeze would be a great recruiter addition

I’d be fine with it, but seems very unlikely. O would probably want a bigger name. Also, I don’t think Canada is going anywhere.

Would be a smart hire. Not sure about the "wouldnt leave after 1-2 yrs" part though. He'll jump at a decent HC position.

Im someone that believes older Briles should be spoken to on the "DL" by an AD looking for a HC. Mainly to see if there is anything that may pop up if hired to decide if worth taking a shot.

Kendal Briles is a pretty big name already, his last name alone; I’m telling you having a young or old Briles cough cough.... at OC for LSU would be a heck of a thing to watch. Kendal could develop Brennan and Narcisse and James Foster assuming we land him. It would really put a little jolt in your morning coffee, more so than Steve Ensminger would

I don't think LSU will ever employ a coach named "Briles" for obvious reasons. Plus when has he ever had is own offense? It was his daddy's at Baylor and Kiffin's now.

Pass.

The downside, he's only been an OC for 3 seasons.

The upside:

2015 Baylor
#1 total offense
#1 scoring offense

2016 Baylor
#6 total offense
#35 scoring offense

FAU
#16 total offense
#10 scoring offense

So you wouldn’t give Kendal Briles a chance based on the fact he’s never been an OC? So exactly how does a coach ever move up magically in the ranks, the persona that you need someone who is a proven OC is the biggest fallacy there is. About like saying Trump shouldn’t be president cause he’s not a politician, whoops....

And the fact that he’s had his hand in those offenses and more so QB DEVELOPMENT, it’d be a great hire. And once again his dad is the one with the bad record, and if LSU hired Kendal the PR response would be minimal if nothing - Saban however would lay awake at night and think oh shite they might develop a competent QB and run our shite in

Dear lord I was scared you was gonna say Ensminger. Totally agree with you. That’s the only system (aside from Gus) that makes Bama shite

At both Baylor and FAU he’s been the primary playcaller, this is his system

Part of the reason LSU misses out on high profile QB’s is because they don’t have anyone to develop them with they get here. Obviously Miles is to blame for the QB situation but I’m ready to open a new chapter. Briles OC, Aranda DC.... be nice

We don’t need a long term OC. Just one to finish out CEOs term. Briles for 2 years makes sense

I’d like to see Canada’s offense in year two...here’s to hoping if he is leaving that he’s informed O and we can get a quality OC. I liked what I saw out of Entsminger end of the year, but not sure what it would look like with him in full time role.

I’d be interested in kingsbury if he’s available.
