Do we look at Frank Wilson as our next OC?

You might as well just fire Les then.

I dont think any OC worth a shite will want to come to LSU for a year in which Les might get fired in the middle of the season. I think its a bad time to fire Cam considering the time left in the season and signing day, and I dont think the offensive issues are his fault.

Hell no to Frank as OC. Not saying he wouldn't do well it's just that we'd have to fire him as Miles next scapegoat for the offense. We need a change at the top.

No I want a QB Coach there, and one that can actually coach a fricking quarterback

Can you name the coaches with a better track record at the QB position than Cameron?

Brees
Rivers
Flacco
Taylor
Randle-El
Mett

He may be overpaid, but he's got a great track record. Brees raves about him

Frank would probably be the best guy available to take the job. I don't know a good oc who would want any part of it.

An easy patch would be Frank as OC and get a QB coach.

Point still stands. Its a really volatile situation for any OC to sign on to.

Why is he the best guy available for an OC spot? Because he's a great recruiter? He has never been an OC, and has never coached QBs, and you want to drop him in that spot to solve our QB/offensive problems? Come on people.

Get a QB coach and Wilson has been groomed for 6 years under several OCs. The OCs don't do anything but run plays from Miles's script anyway.

if you think its that simple. Frank would have no more say than any other OC LSU has ever had.

Then you are a fool. Any OC would want to coach LSU offensive talent for a million dollars a year.

No, you are a fool. The great talent and tradition of our defense couldn't get anybody worth a flip as DC so we settled for a career long crappy arse DC who was coaching LBs at Bama.

If we couldn't get anybody worthy to coach our defense, how could we get somebody worthy for our offense? Anyway you know our offense barely changes no matter what OC we utilize.

I am glad you have come to your senses. I have been telling you this before the season started and you would not listen.

Guys get promoted from in house all the time as quick patches and if they do good, they stick with the job.

Being an OC under miles is career suicide.

We need to keep Cam at least for one more year just for continuity on offense and for recruiting but Miles needs to give him an ultimatum. Either open up the offense and run a more modern pro style shotgun oriented 3 wr based offense (similar to what Bama is running these days at the minimum but preferably more open and innovative than what they are running). But if Cam proves to be incapable or unwilling after one season then LSU needs to part ways with him. Hate to burn another year with him but we need to at least give him every chance we can.
