Only if RP would have stayed out of trouble.

RP set LSU's offense back at least 5 years, maybe 10....They may not ever recover from RP getting kicked off the team. It was the most catastrophic thing that has ever happened to a football team. Huge props to LSU for continuing the football program after that.

Every season Les Miles says that LSU's offense will be better. It never is, so than Les says they're working hard to fix it. I'll be happy when it's finally fixed.

I'm optimistic...

Although when I watched some spring practice video I saw the QB's practicing the option.

That in itself scares me. If we have trouble throwing, I hope we don't have 85% run the option plays to watch.

You can't deny crowtons greatness. Have you not noticed since crowton left those awsome trick plays have disappeared? please don't mention wings td vs uf. Wing called that on his own.

The play that he called on 4th down against Bama in 2010 was a thing of beauty. Hand off to Ridley who pitched to the TE reversing to the left, down to the 1 yard line.
We could have used that play in vs Bama again last year when we got down to the Bama 28 with 2 minutes left. Would have put the game away and altered the end of the 2012 CFB season.

8 & 9 man fronts vs any defense is disrespectful. crowton took advantage of teams over playing the run with trick plays because his qbs was BFI certified.

If not for the Malveto clusterfrick on defense, Lee's pick 6's would have been almost irrelevant. Does anyone even have a clue that we scored 31 points a game in 2008? That is plenty of offense to win. We lost one game in OT, one at the end to Arkansas, and got blown out by Georgia, Florida, and Ole Miss. The offense was not the problem in 2008, the defense was.

He does but he was also fired righ after mid season. Cam had nothing to do with the Super Bowl.

That's incredibly shortsighted. Do you honestly think the Ravens changed their Offense in the middle of the season? Cam was fired because he and Harbaugh clashed and couldn't agree what plays to run in crunch time. He had a huge part in Flacco's development. This years O is going to be light years better. I'd put money on it.

I agree with this statement, but no more than that. It is no longer an excuse. Certainly was beforehand, negatigers wouldn't acknowledge this. By the sound of your sarcasm, I can see that you don't believe the RP situation made an impact, and it is just Les Miles being less of a football mind than yourself.

I can't wait for this board to implode when you will be watching the same old stagnant offense, say in week 5...and everyone will be saying shite like: "We have the same numbers this time as last year"....etc, etc.
When will u people learn.....NOTHING WILL CHANGE ON OFFENSE....AS LONG AS MILES IS THE HC!!!

So you're saying that Maryland didn't let him call his plays either?

Tell that to Danny O' Brien who Crowton turned to shite. Part of this guy's job was to be the QB coach and he failed horribly. His complicated offensive scheme was tailored to seasoned QBs who only learned wrinkles of his offense.

Go look at his bio if you think I'm lying. This guy takes an out of the box ready model and does great thing with it. He can't build something piece by piece and it was shown everywhere he went.
