ou nailed it. I work out and can add or loose 10lbs in a month and not loose speed. His knowledge is the key yo him developing into a starting SEC QB.

Do you get stiff or loose though?

He's heavier than a SF 49 QB who is pretty good.

He was talking aboit John Brodie.

It's nice of you to try and bail him out, but from the wording of his post it doesn't look like he was talking about John Brodie. If he knows enough about the 49'ers to know of John Brodie, he knows that John Brodie retired MANY yrs ago and WAS pretty good. Nah, looks like he just said something really silly and got caught by many.

Don't really see the need for him to put on weight if the offense is crafted to his strengths.

He needs to put on weight so he can absorb the hits that he is inevitably going to take. At his current weight I'm not sure he would survive a full season without injury, especially because we want to run him so much.

He doesn't need to gain weight as much as he needs to lose the 216 lbs. of dead weight getting to start ahead of him.

However much weight is necessary to make the ball fly about 5 feet closer to the ground...

220? Ha ha.... Nah 205/208 is good.

He's 6'3". 220 is perfectly fine at that height for a QB who's pretty mobile/quick but not run-first.

Winston when he was 6'4" 190 in HS (he's 230 now):

Harris has plenty of room to fill in without sacrificing too much in terms of mobility.
