The ball boy caught every kickoff within a 3-yard box about 3 yards beyond the end zone just to the left of the goal posts. I'm sure his intent is to pull it a little left of center because you'll get a little more distance with a pull than a push.

I saw that too. He needs to misplace himself from here out...

My dad commented that he kicked it right to where that guy was standing on the opening kick. I told him he pretty much always puts it there, so the ball boy just stands there.

After that, we paid close attention to every kick and all of them outside of one knuckler went to the that spot

I almost started a thread on this last night. I keep watching the ball boy on the kickoffs. On several kicks, he never moved except to catch the ball. I know I've never ever seen that consistency on kickoffs at any level.

He is a cool cucumber but yea, he has the benefit of 6,000+ kickoffs in practice....

If we ever were to need a 70 yard field goal, I believe Atkins would have the distance.

He works hard on being consistent. But even with me being biased -being his dad- the consistency is pretty dang impressive!!! All the specialists hold themselves to high standard. He’s just trying to get better every week and I think the whole team does that as well.
