Not to mention against FL when Coleman was trash talking to Tebow while we were in the process of getting our collective arse kicked...

Yep, lol at those people who say he's a good free safety.

I hope Alem lerns to play the run in the 7 gap

Not true at all. I will watch the replay again, but I remember him doing a very fine job against Andre Smith. He kept his gap responsiblities the whole game.

Our D line could not get any pressure.

Hence why I say we need to recruit more speed.

I mentioned this one time as one of the many examples of how team culture and discipline have deteriorated during the Miles tenure and was crucified for it.

no I just think it was those 2 guys coaching on defense last year that lost control of them, I don't expect to see that this year.

So Ricky Jean's comments, the trash talking while LOSING, Byrd trashing his teammates and the kicked ball/personal fouls in the Arkansas game have to do with our shitty defensive scheme?

People will say anything to deny that the buck stops with Les Miles. Especially with incidents like this which are solely the responsibility of the head coach to keep under control.

Come on, Les Miles is a good coach with a good record. But this is an area that has clearly been in decline since he has been head coach.

Yet we have less off the field problems than most teams.

I get what you're saying, but Miles should get credit for that as well.

I had forgot about those. Someone should have been running gassers for a week.

I agree about McCray as well. He almost always took a bad angle and missed tackles. I'm not ready to write him off forever, but I am looking forward to what Brooks can do. There were times we weren't aligned properly either, and I look for that to change. Outside of the turnovers, I thought we played well that game. Our running game really took it to Bama.

Here we go again. If J.L. started next year and threw 30 TD's and 6 INT's, and led LSU to the Nat. Champ, the entire board would be crying when he didn't win the Heisman

With enough time, Saban made Demetrius Hookfin into a somewhat viable SEC corner by his senior year. Will McCray make the same kind of progress? Should be interesting to see, since that's the guy to whom McCray is most compared.

Every athlete in this year's class runs a 4.4 40 IIRC.

Looks like Les heard you.

let me ask you a question, who is in charge of the defense? not coach Miles. he is HC, but is more of a delegater, responsible for more things than keeping players in line. most of the lack of disipline and lost of control you talk about fell on the defensive side of the ball. Byrd is on the offensive side and should have been controlled by coaches on that side. you can't blame Miles for all of that, that is stupid.

You could not be more wrong. Coach Miles is the head coach of the entire team, and is solely responsible for enforcing disciplinary action, especially in matters not related to scheme. It wasn't Crowton who kicked Perrilloux off the team for all the crap he did, it was Miles (way too late, in my opinion). It wasn't Pelini who kicked Derrick Odom off the team either. What a completely horrible argument.

like I said Miles is the HC and those are his duties alone to execute, but if you think he's supposed to be watching all these players and following them closely and coaching them on both sides of the ball, then why bother to hire coaches, really.

and my argument is horrible brother get a clue.
