Regardless of the November 9 outcome, with Oklahoma going down, this seems like another rematch season assuming the winner of our game wins the SECCG (if the East wins that game it would be the biggest possible shake up in CFB this year).

What if Baylor wins out? They are in the Playoffs, right?

If we lose to Bama I think we are out.

If Bama loses to us, especially with a hobbled Tua, we will see them again.

Agree, Bama got their annual excuse for a mulligan with OU loss last night.

LSU only plays Bama again if they beat them the first time. If LSU loses, they are out.

ND and OU going down really helped the loser

People keep saying this because the belief in "Bama Bias" is so strong on this board but I dont think it makes sense this year. LSU clearly has stronger wins and unlike any previous CFP year before they look primed to have only one loss at most with that loss being to Bama. If Bama wins and beats UGA or UF I dont see how LSU gets left off with how the rest of the Power 5 is shaping up

I couldn't disagree with you more.

This Alabama team has no resume to speak of if they lose. It's a bit pathetic how much everyone wants to concede to them.

that’s really the only other way we don’t both get in, in my eyes. But I’m not confident in Baylor to beat OU twice and Texas. Bama could also lose at Auburn because it’s the Iron Bowl and that’s a tough place to get a win

Let’s not forget that if LSU wins in Tuscaloosa, it is highly probable that our Tigers will play Florida—again—and if successful, another date with Bama.

We’ll see. You also have Ohio State, Penn State, and Minnesota still undefeated in the Big 10. Point being, there is a lot of football left to be played. Things will work themselves out.

I disagree. I think we can lose the Bama game (if it's close) and still get in. The game is on the road and the rest of our schedule supports our inclusion in the playoffs (depending, of course, on how other conferences shake out).

Bama cannot say the same thing. This game is at home for them and they do not have a signature win bc they have not played a difficult schedule.

I don’t think the Committee would pair the two together to be honest with you.

Nope. Bama has NO resume. It would take another FG overtime loss to save them

Penn St and Ohio St still have to play each other and Minnesota plays Penn St in two weeks. I think the obvious end result of that is an undefeated OSU that gets in but no other Big 10 team. Either way I think the field ends up being Ohio St Alabama LSU and Clemson in some order.

I think Bama has some up and comings coming and if they lose to anyone they might be out without a conference title.

no if we play within one score, we have a chance bc we're on the road. Just too soon to say either way. It has to be a one score game. It's as likely to be a 8 pt game as anything.
