I think the atmosphere at "The Box" helps us pull it out.

As I think back over this year... as best I remember, the only times LSU has struggled has been against good pitching. South Carolina beat us two out of 3 at home and we struggled against Stanek in the SEC tournament. Okla has 2 very good pitchers. I'm hoping a little magic from the atmosphere at "The Box" is just enough to help us win it and go back to Omaha.

I'd rather finish before we

I'm thinking the players have something to do with it.

I think if someone sells me tickets so I can ridicule the pitchers and outfielders, it will increase our chance by 288%

Agreed... but LSU baseball players over the years have had a tendency to play a little better when they have home-field advantage.

I had always felt that a team coming from nowhere would be the team to break the Alex Box mystique. I think it takes a team that has absolutely zero to lose to pull it off. Stony Brook had already had a historic year for their program whether they won here or not. They were literally playing with house money. They had zero pressure to win, because nobody even knew who they were a week before arriving in Baton Rouge.

Oklahoma on the other hand, comes from a power conference with a top draft pick pitcher. This is usually the type of team that melts in the Alex Box heat.

Do we ring the cowbells on offense or defense?

Moar victory laps for the opponent.

Some opposing teams that come into AB seem to thrive off of the energy and that is what I believe SB did. They were not intimidated by any means. It also didn't help the first game that it was pouring down raining on Gausman last year.

I think the fact that LSU is just a better baseball helps them pull it out.
