Everytime I saw JJ go out since coming back he would run the ball. He threw maybe one or two passes since coming back, and one being the bomb in Auburn game. I got this weird feeling that he is our trump card. His running ability can pull those safeties up opening up our WR for the deep ball. Sabans defense's are vulnerable to this and screens because of the reliance on lock down corners. If you do not believe me just go back and watch the LSU / GA game at Georgia during his last year I think it was. They absolutely abused us and his over aggressive defense. David Green was accurate as hell which didn't help us.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm not so sure this is absolutely true as I think our run game with our backs and then the play action with Lee will do just fine, but JJ does bring another dimension and he has done well this year when called upon. We'll take all the help each player can contribute. It's a team thing.

Definitely a team effort, I wasn't saying he can do it alone. I am simply putting it out there that he offers something that is VERY hard to defend if your comparing to just a standard drop back QB. For instance you KNOW 95 percent of time that Jarrett isn't going to run. With JJ in, you have no clue what he is going to do. All you can guess by watching tape is that he will run, but I think this is by design.

He hadn't thrown much. He threw the deep ball, and a pretty damn good pass to deangelo Peterson that was laser. He also had one or two that were a little below par. I agree though. I think this will be his coming out party just because it is one more weapon to maybe spread the defense out a little more.

i like jj, and what he's brought to this team this year. i just have a hard time believing that what they ask him to do, he'll be successful at against nick.

he'd have to throw the ball deep to attack him. which he may. but not the zone read/option type game.

I think that if anyone is talking about JJ after the game, then we lost. The only game changing play that I think he would make would be a turnover.

Instead, I hope he just comes in and plays steady like he has all year. No need for the dramatic. Just do what he's done all year and we'll be fine. Same for Lee. We don't need a game changing play from either.

JJ could be helpful in spots. He will not play enough to have a "coming out party" unless JLee gets hurt. Lee's passing and decision making will be critical to LSU's success against Bama.

I was merely speaking of the difficulty in defending him as you do not know what Les might do with the offense when he is in......I expect lee to be consistent like he has been all year. I just like the fact that JJ brings another element Saban has to stay up late and think about.

I will be surprised if they don't run the option a few times, then give him an opportunity to throw from option look.

Ive been thinking about this all week.
I can name 5-6 guys that Id put money on that will have a bigger impact tommorrow than JJ.
JJ avgs about 7-8 plays a game... all these other guys avg at least twice as many.

RS
RR
OBjr

Im just saying at times it seems like its just wishful thinking by some of you.

He's actually played pretty well against Bama the last 2 years. He can certainly be a weapon. I think how Lee handles the blitz though, might actually be the key to the game. He hangs in there, and there are big plays to be had.

I'll be shocked if we don't see this more than once.

I think the trump card will be a lot of things, not just one player.....the linebackers, the pass defense, the defensive line, the offensive line, both qb's, the running backs, the recievers, the special teams, the field goal kickers, the punters, the coaches decisions, even the refs........I hope Jj plays great as all the players......

just my 2 cents worth.....

he has. but what he's done well is throwing the football down the field. he's only done that once, maybe twice this year. i think that will work. but the zone read, him as a runner offense. i dont see THAT working.
