been watching highlights again, and damn this guy is really good. strong arm, accurate and has some wheels… I know he didn’t have the best year last year, but Herm Edwards was a worse disaster than Ed O… Would be a really nice surprise if we have the next college Lamar Jackson waiting to hit the scene!

PS! ONE CAN HOPE ?

No kidding. We got to see it first hand when LSU shut him down in the Citrus Bowl 29-9. Jackson had a QBR of 28.0 and a 1.3 YPC in that game vs an 8-4 LSU squad.

Lamar Jackson is a former MVP of the National Football League. I think he could have held his own in the SEC

Also no one has mentioned it yet, but I have to imagine some of the naysayers of Daniels stems from his skin color.

Where does the inaccurate talk come from when referring to Daniels? He has a higher career completion percentage than Brennan while having almost identical passing yards per attempt stats

Also interesting how people will call Daniels inaccurate while praising Nuss in the same breath

I like Nuss, but let’s be real about last year- accurate he was not.

Inconsistent in his games at Arizona. Against Pac-12 defenses at that. He also didn't show consistency in spring. Not like the problem will fix itself overnight.

Def will not start. At least he had the balls to compete with this group

Cool. Not sure that I would hire you as an evaluator, remember that you are watching highlights.

People only remember Brennan’s highlights then act like he’s much superior to Daniels. They forgot all the timid and indecisive moments that Brennan had.

All in all, Nuss is the best option. Highest ceiling out of the group. He’s mobile enough. Has the arm and comes from a football family.

Perhaps. This will be the best staff he’s ever had. He’ll also have the best team around him that he’s ever had and it’s not close (yes, I’m mainly talking about the WRs, but we’ll see how the rapport is). I know Kelly mentioned in the spring that they’re working on his mechanics to improve his accuracy too, so we’ll see.

Well, that's the problem looking at stats they don't tell you the full story. Daniels struggled against better teams. His career % doesn't tell you he's accurate and it doesn't say he's more accurate than Brennan. When he played he probably had one of the worst olines in 2 decades at LSU. most of his drop backs were pressure situations sack or not. Tom Brady couldn't have a high completion % there. Would you take a bottom Miss State defense over a Pac-12 one?

Highlights fooled me as well. Watch the games and you will see that he is wildly inaccurate. Not a good passer at all. Passing metrics are also terrible.

Nobody is saying he can't be accurate we're saying he's inconsistent. Obviously he has talent.

I think packages for red zone could definitely be nice...maybe ala Tebow and Leak with Florida back in the day. That UCLA game highlight just reminded me of how ill prepared our team was and had been once it lost it's real leadership... frustrating

Daniels and NUSS are clearly the only viable options, both are dynamic and could easily the team into the future.

3 completions in 9 attempts in the spring games does not exhibit star quality. Just saying!

All three have potential and it’s a good problem to have vs what we’ve had in the past! It’s rich bitch problems.
