It would be cool if the LSU/Arky game was played in Fayetteville once so I could get the full Arkansas gameday experience.

Wouldn't that be the equivalent of taking a ride in an El Camino with an old man that keeps candy in his glove compartment?

I'm down.

In Fayette-Nam at least once on a Saturday, either night or day.

And then at least once or twice in BR after Thanksgiving on Saturday at night.

Yeah...it's not fair that we never get to go to Fayettenam. Little Rock is played.

I don't like neutral sites(or games not played on non-campus sites) except for championship games and bowls.

Texas/OU should be played at each other's campus, same for UGA/UF.

Agreed. It's hard to convince me that Florida is ever going to be a "road team" in Jacksonville. You can wear all the white trim you want, you're never a road team in your own state.

Moving the game to Shreve means the money moves to Shreve. Ask the Baton Rouge restaurants if they want to lose one of their best weekends of the year so that LSU and Arkie can try a new tradition.

A good hire. I was, early on, wanting the likes of Robinson and our boy Muschamp. I'm not crazy about him being a box DC, much like an OC on the field, but whatever he's comfortable with. I like how he produces linebackers and right now, that is where we have shoes to fill. I hope he finds us another Raynoch Thompson. I think Chavis is at LSU for 4-5 years, tops, but whoever else gets hired with him - hopefully a younger, energetic guy - takes over for him when that time comes.

As far as the rest of the staff, I'm not completely in the know there. I would love to find a way to get Karl Dunbar as the DL coach and possibly find another old dog ala Pete Jenkins. Essentially, we get a nice balanced staff of young and old. What you think? YOu probably know a little more about it than me. I've been so busy turning my attn to LSU basketball and recruiting. Ahh...what ya think about our boy Loston? I cannot wait to see him sit back there and knock heads. I think McCray starts at FS next season...Loston possibly RS's. Then, we have 4 years of him. Anyway, I'll hang up and listen...

Do you see Chavis being fired? I don't see him getting a head coaching job.

Chavis has produced some good defenses and some average ones. We'll just have to see.

From what I gather, the chances of Dunbar coming back to LSU as DL coach are slim and none, even if he wanted to.

They've been talking about a guy named Brick Haley being mentioned as DL coach. There has been some talk about him being fired by the Chicago Bears.

As for DB coach, not sure.

I'd like to get a DL coach, DB coach and LB coach and just let Chavis worry about scheming like Pelini did.

I don't know much about Brick Haley, but he sounds like a kick arse and take names sort of guy. Probably the type who'd spank you in the face with his unit.

I don't know much about him either, other than what I read about him on the 'net.

He played for Chavis at Alabama A&M.

I did have some concerns on how Orgeron would have meshed with Chavis.

It would have been nice to see him head up our recruiting though.

That's the only reason I wanted him. Oh well. I refuse to cry over Ed Orgeron saying no thanks.

Yeah, frick him, he's gonna be competin' against us on the recruiting trail and he'll be coming into Louisiana trying to take our athletes. That's one of the reasons I wanted him though, because I'd rather have him recruiting for us than against us.

But, plenty of folk can d-line. A Neville grad named Bill Johnson, who is the DL coach for the Broncos, has been mentioned but I've read where Payton wants him on his staff. And Bo Davis has also been mentioned.

Fail.

I lived in Jacksonville after college, and my folks still live there. Jacksonville is only an hour and half or so from Gainesville, but is definitely a Bulldog town. Remember, the Georgia state line is only about a half hour north. Gator Country is south of Gainesville, i.e. Orlando. The cocktail party is truly a neutral site.
