I don't see how he surpasses up Williams for more playing time.

By being better. He'll show it in due time. I just see Williams as the typical LSU depth back. There is nothing wrong with that, as Hilliard played that role perfectly in his final 3 years.

Guice is special though. He has that "it" about him. His high school coach said he's like a rolling ball of butcher knives. Just elbows and knees churning and spinning. That's actually a great way to describe him. I like to say he's like Taz from the Looney Toons. Just amazing to watch, plus he's a hell of a receiving back.

The first 3 games Williams was ahead of Fournette. Now Fournette grabbed the reins and took off but Williams is a beast

Never happened. He never had more touches in any game, and was a TD vulture in the cupcake games against SHSU and ULM.

Wisconsin
Fournette - 8 car 18 yards
Williams - DNP

SHSU
Fournette - 13 car 92 yards TD, 2 rec 32 yards
Williams - 14 car 65 yards TD

ULM
Fournette - 10 car 52 yards TD, 1 rec 20 yards
Williams - 7 car 37 yards 2 TD

Miss St
Fournette - 7 car 38 yards, 1 rec 1 yard
Williams - 2 car 4 yards, 2 rec 38 yards

NMST
Fournette - 18 car 122 yards 2 TDs, 1 rec 33 yards
Williams - 10 car 59 yards, 1 rec 11 yards

Auburn
Fournette - 10 car 42 yards
Williams - 4 car 19 yards, 2 rec 6 yards

This is how it looked before Fournette got his first start.

I'm not saying Guice will take the 2nd spot immediately, but LSU fans should know by looking at the last few years, that the better talent wins out during the season. When Ware got in trouble in 2011, that one game against Auburn, was all that was needed to show who was better. Hilliard pretty much became the leading rusher from that game forward. In 2012, Hill passed up 4 RBs, to become the leading rusher the last 7 games. In 2013, Magee passed up Hilliard and Blue to become the backup RB. In 2014, Fournette passed up Magee and Hilliard, to become the leading rusher by game two.

It's going to happen at some point. My money is on somewhere before the trip to South Carolina.

you always think freshman are better than everyone else.

So where did I say this??

Actually I believed that Paris would win the job over Toliver and last year, I never believed that Dupre and Quinn would play over some of the WRs that were already here. At least not from game one. Also, never saw Godchaux taking over a starting spot either, but I did predict Adams to be the freshman riser in the secondary. We have one every year. Oh and obviously I was all on the hype train of Fournette. I predicted 1400 yards from scrimmage and 13 or 14 TDs before the start of last year. Also thought he'd be starting within the first few games. He had around 1150 yards from scrimmage, 11 TDs, and started at Florida, so that was close enough.

Now Donte Jackson, that's a guy that I want to start at KR and if not at PR, eased into it later on in the year.

If these numbers hold up, i think we will be disappointed in his ability to get in the endzone, mathematically speaking.

Hopefully the sarcasm is just lost on me here.... But I'd say a TD for every 15 or so yards of rushing is pretty good.

It has been discussed in detail on here before

No it hasn't. Because there's nothing to discuss.

Guice had issues in High School and it was questioned during his recruiting if he was going to finish at Catholic.

People thought he was going to transfer because his good friend, Ferguson, got kicked out and went to McKinley. People speculated that Guice would go with him. And he didn't. He was never in danger of getting kicked out from catholic.

can be a problem

no.

LOL Where is that at?

I just went and looked at some of my old posts.

I said depending on how many carries, he could get around 1100 yards rushing

I said Magee would start til about Auburn or Florida

I said Fournette will be starting by midway

I said Fournette will have about 160 and Magee 150 carries

The one thing I got really wrong, was that he'd dominate day one. It did take him til the second week to dominate, then again, our OL was garbage against any team with a pulse the first half of the season.

Wow, I was actually right and closer to what actually happened than I previously remembered.

Oh and for extra prophet shite, I predicted Landry and Beckham to be one of the best WR tandems in the country prior to 2013 and our team scoring like the 2011 team, but more because of the offense instead of D/ST.
