I am guessing they both play most of first half and hit the milestones they are close to. I hope the 3 weeks of practice are being used to give plenty of practice time to key guys we need for next year.

I don't expect JD to play at all. He has absolutely nothing else to prove.

Nobody will blame them. They may just have personal goals they want to hit.

I sure hope not. Just be there on the sidelines encouraging Nuss and receivers to ball out.
These guys have nothing to prove to anyone and they have a lot to lose.

If he plays it will be long enough to secure the win.

This isn't the only reason one would play.

Exactly, you play…to win…the game. Hello!!!
It’s why I can’t stand people saying “meaningless bowl.” bullshite. There is an inherent meaning to every game, to every competition. If our guys are putting on uniforms with “LSU” on them and competing against another group of guys in uniforms with the name of their school on it, and they are keeping score….it has meaning. Objective meaning. How much meaning is the subjective part, but the games have meaning.

And Jayden looks to me like he just really enjoys playing football. And probably wants to play with his brothers one more time. And I think he probably will. But I don’t like how everyone is talking it up like he’s definitely going to play, he’s not the kind of guy to quit on his team, whatever. Because it sets him up to be making a selfish decision if he does, in fact, decide not to play. When it reality, it would be all about being smart, not selfish. His agent may encourage him not to play, his family may encourage him not to play, and like someone mentioned earlier, Brian Kelly may encourage him not to play. And I just don’t think that should be held against him if that’s what winds up happening.

They play 100% guaranteed unless a blow out or we know we got the game in hand.

I agree OP. Jayden needs 188 yards to hit the 4K mark. I can actually see him going the first half if needed
I think both guys may be thinking about legacy and that’s the pull. Malik for the LSU record and Jayden to become the first SEC player to throw for 4K+ and rush for 1K+ in the same season. If I’m not mistaken Kyler Murray is the only player in FBS to have a 4K/1K season.
