I could find and coach 8 intramural rec league guys at LSU that would have won that game last night and I know nothing about BB

That was my biggest takeaway last year. And my biggest concern coming into this year. Could CMM reverse that troubling trend because I agree with you here.
To this point I can't say as I see a reversal of that but all I can do is hope.

Us getting worse and giving up last year was a big red flag.
A rough first year is usually expected but I want to see improvement throughout the year and have something to hope on.
Then he comes out and starts the second year with a really bad start and the sec only got better this offseason.
There isn’t a lot of good signs right now with him.
Then you factor in his personality just isn’t a type that wins in big time basketball and him being squeaky clean really makes it hard.
Matt has the emotions of JJ with the attitude of Trent when it comes to recruiting.
People don’t like this but the way Wade got recruits is the way all programs do in basketball. Self, K, Roy Williams all do it just they use proper bag men and have the media to carry their water.

When Dick did that 2-minute hatchet job in the middle of the SEC Tournament final broadcast in 2020 (after promising not to mind you) it just brought it into perspective. I mean could you imagine him ever doing such a thing in the middle of a Big 12 Tourney Final, reading Self's incriminating texts and listing all of Kansas Level 1 violations. Hell, no cause it would never happen.
But that's the reality of the landscape of college hoops, they were not gonna quit until they got their pound of flesh and they were never gonna apply that same pressure to the blue bloods or even anything close. Don't even get me started on Duke.
So I was not happy but resigned to that reality and hopeful CMM could come in and build something. I'd like to say I still cling to some hope, but it's really getting harder.

Woodward’s family ties and personality clash are apparent. Another MAJOR ACC / SEC program IS going to hire WW .. not if but when. It will be soon. He will drag his nads across LSU’s forehead while Alleva / Woodward / Emmert sip neat scotch with noses in the air murmuring how “high class” we are ……
