I rewatched the game (because I hate myself): Some observations

1. Chavis should fire Miles
2. Miles can be seen cryingish at 6:15 left in the 4th right after the sack/fumble on 4th.
3. Miles loves to frick with Jarret Lee's head
4. Body language on the sidelines was terrible the whole game. The only players showing any emotion whatsoever were the ones chewing each other out.
5. Bama knew JJ would pitch every single time on the option.
6. If McArron (sp) hadn't played out of his mind, the combined score would have been under 12

What do you mean by this?

I was on the 30 in the plaza and the crowd (with the exception of the Jarrett Lee chant) was so NOT in the game before the first half was even over.

I don't blame them. The offense looked worse than a steaming pile of shite and McCarron had the 'Bama offense rolling down the field (even if they only came away with FGs).

I remember games when the entire north end zone would start chanting LSU LSU LSU even when the team was behind.
Crowd helps motivate. Dat's all.

Damn, you're right. I can't count. I must be a closet Bama fan.

Bama was calm and focused, the Tigers look fractured and lost. We've all heard the rumors about things that did / didn't happen before the game started. I don't give credence to internet rumblings but it didn't take a trained eye to see that the Tigers were not on the same page and especially late in the game, almost looked to be turning on each other.
The defense did the best that they could, given the circumstances. I'm convinced that Bama doubles the score on anyone else that night.

(I've been away, for obvious reasons).

quote:If Bama hadn't been slowed down enough by the LSU defense and forced to settle for five field goals and one blocked FG, think about what the score could have been then... 42/45/49-0? Dismal thought, but thanks Coach Chavis and Tiger defenders. It was a great effort, considering.

Well to be honest, those people were at home watching the game because they couldn't afford to drop $2,000 down on a ticket or didn't know anybody with blocks of corporate sponsor seats.

I thought the same thing... at one point JJ is sitting on the bench with that poo-poo face and nobody is close to him. This gives some crediblity to the pre-game fight... IMO
