The school may be in a budget crisis but the AD turns a major profit every year and gives money to the school: I think they gave the school $7mil last year.

There are many intangible benefits to playing in a bowl and since the school itself doesn't lose a dime, I see no reason why we should even consider turning down a bowl invite.
