Isn't that one hell of an indictment of Kelly? And since the starting QB was injured leaving him with RS Frosh Max and a true freshman (what's his name? ;)) for limited games, not sure if it was true everywhere. Also Orgeron had lost his defensive coaches the year before in a covid year and his OC in the offseason to retirement, he had better excuses than hand picked ready to go staffs that are paid twice as much.

Ryan Clark along with some others saw an opportunity to get rid of him and try to get a black coach at LSU so they pounced. Thats why when Kelly got hired he started the whole old white guy talk.
Kelly has done nothing significantly better than O since taking over. He speaks well though especially when throwing his players under the bus.
this. If instead of spending tens of millions on new coaches and buyouts you put $5 million into a new OC we would have been fine. We seemed to have the pieces in place with the DC and OLine coach. Give him backing and we fill out the recruiting class with 25 freshmen (in addition to the great class we had already) plus 10 transfers under the new rules and we are set for the future.

There was zero chance of anything being set for the future with O as HC. It ended exactly like anyone with a brain knew it would. O was a snake oil salesman carried by a great staff and great players.
