Starkville always catches a bunch of crap here...manily from folks who I suspect have nver been to a game there. Granted, it is not the venue that some of the other SEC schools are on gameday, but I have never failed to enjoy myself there.
For drinks/food, I would say either Mugshots or The Grill...
if you want straight up drinking in a college bar scene, I would just head to the cotton district...
